So did we ever learn what happened with the curtain?

Someone has already stated that our energy focus should be on the final week's performances. Well said. I found it kind of sad to read this thread at a time like this. I so wish I could be there one more time to expereince the closing of this legendary show.

Is that show biz talk like "break a leg"? You say "like a car wreck"? What does that mean? I know that my program for GYPSY had a page with all sorts of theater talk phrases in it, but I don't have it hear at the office. It is at home safe in my Memory Box full of all my special souvenirs. Maybe it will tell me what CAR WRECK means? Anyone know?

This has gone from annoying to just plain ammusing. LOL
I don't even believe that this person lives in Virginia, but even if they did, I for one would not judge the state by their stupidity.
*Well gee nah, that Ms. Peters sure is great. What's her first name again? Maureen? She's fantastic. Maybe she'll win the Oscar for Gypsy! Hope she doesn't get stuck in that traffic though. Wouldn't want her to break her leg. I sure hope that nice man at the theatre puts Maureen Peters in another show right after she just busted her ass 8 times a week for over a year. Maybe she and Bernadette Moore can share a role?

That idea crossed my mind yesterday, Christine. That Bernadette and Maureen could do the last show together, in unison. Wouldn't that be fun for John Dossett, such as in "You'll Never Get Away from Me."
I agree. I don't think she/he is in Virginia at all.

Just had to share that I drove home from work amusing myself by imagining Bernadette and Maureen doing this in-unison, schizophrenic "Rose's Turn."

so I was driving around in my convertible today, ok it's my mom's, but today it wasn't, and those cicadas are SO loud and irritating and I had to put the top of the car back up because they were flying into the car and into my face!! I know where I'll be in 17 years...not here!!
