From: New York, NY | posted: 5/26/2004 at 12:19:18 AM ET I do think that Bernadette Peters (Maureen Moore's understudy ...wait..) would be fabulous as Glinda in WICKED. I think that she and Kristen do look the same age. Not to be rude to Kristen (who is twenty years younger) but I think they both meet in the middle. Bernadette would be HILARIOUS and her voice would be adorable singing POPULAR. However, I want Ms. Peters to take a break and enjoy her summer!! Maybe she could meet Jean in Belguim?

Why hasn't he/she commented on Karen in Belgium eating out the wahzoo and drinking rhododendrens?

It has got to be the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard regarding the theatre. For what purpose? Can you IMAGINE the way a NY audience would react to something like that? I mean, it might have been a heartfelt, sweet suggestion, but something like this would never, EVER happen on Broadway. I would imagine most people would be AGHAST. For the duration of that final performance, from start to finish, Bernadette Peters will be playing Rose...to have someone else fill in DURING the show, and interrupt the building of her performance to its crescendo, is unthinkable. Good grief!!!!!!!

Who was I not supposed to respond to? Did I make a mistake in responding to Rob? If so, I am sorry and will not again.

From: Bradenton/Sarasota, FLA | posted: 5/26/2004 at 1:43:52 PM ET Oh, come on, moljul. Wouldn't you like for all of us to agree to set a date to meet up with Louise for the opening night of Bernadette and Maureen in "Wicked," and send someone named Guido in our stead to beat the living crap out of him/her/it?
It's an interesting psychological question why a person would come to a site like this to annoy and screw around with people who have a common interest. I can't think what the point would be -- other than your life is just that miserable/lonely/sorry/pick-your-own-term. What did such people do before the Internet??
If that's how such get their jollys, a lobotomy might be in order.

Yeah, I agree. Let's let it ride -- off into the sunset.
