The Tony broadcast is tonight on CBS at 8 eastern. The webcast begins at 7:10 eastern on the Tony website.

I'll be watching as usual, but this is the first year in a long time that I won't bother to record. Just doesn't seem much point this year.

Karen I completely agree. I'm only recording for the Sondheim award.

I won't be recording it either...........but I might record Patti LuPone, just in case she makes a big blunder, I can post it on Youtube!!! =).....And if she doesn't win for "Gypsy", I want to post that too!!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that someone else takes home the Tony this year!!! As Bernadette will not be in attendance, the Tony's will be a sorry business this year. The only highlight will be the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to the musical genius of Stephen Sondheim......which Bernadette should be presenting. =(

Why were they playing Leonard Bernstein for this guy from The 39 Steps?

Oh, I see. They're using Bernstein for every winner.

No, I guess they're not, after all. Schizophrenic music choices.

So glad Rondi Reed won.

John Waters is one of my heroes and he made me laugh out loud, but Crybaby looks bad, bad, bad.

In case you're wondering why I'm here talking to myself, it's because I don't have a blog. Well, I need some outlet to indulge my vanity.

Bartlett Sherr. Is this the beginning of a South Pacific sweep? Please, God.

Terrible: dialogue delivery was wooden, singing was ridiculously mannered and rushed. And this got a standing ovation? I don't get it.

She can't act. She can sing (but in a style I don't appreciate).

South Pacific looked like a pretty good production of a great musical, but something was lacking. Beautiful voices, but where's the heart and soul?

Laura Benanti. That was as inevitable as any award ever.
