From: New York City | posted: 8/24/2003 at 12:38:22 AM ET You mean she didn't play Sleeping Beauty in Sleeping Beauty? Angel just said she played the selfish princess, but I thought... Now wait... I'm confused. lol. I never saw that one so I have no idea who she played.
The only Faerie Tale theatre episode I remember seeing is 'Beauty and the Beast.' And I believe either Rebecca Demornay or Beverly D-Angelo played the lead in that one. I should watch some of the others. Can you actually rent Faerie Tale Theatre shorts?

Regis: And look at all this hair. My God. That's a lot of hair. Look at this. How does hair get this way?
Bernadette: Um.. it sort of grew out of my head like this.

From: Alabama | posted: 8/24/2003 at 12:42:11 AM ET Oh, heh, sorry for the confusion...yes she did play Sleeping Beauty but she also dressed up and played a selfish princess that was trying to marry the prince. She made him pick pearls off of her bousom. Another great line..."Propriety or poils" It's really funny, you should try to find it. Not really for kids though.

From: Alabama | posted: 8/24/2003 at 2:01:10 AM ET Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the name for it. Yeah, I vaguely remember them playing the Faerie Tale theatre's on the Disney channel. None of them are really "for kids". I mean he picks a "poil" off of her breast with his mouth for crying out loud! Hahahah! Hmmm next question if nobody has one, What type of dog does Bernadette's character Elanore have in Slaves of New York, and what is his name?

From: Alabama | posted: 8/24/2003 at 2:02:59 AM ET Oh, also kind of interesting tid bit that I found funny. Tammy Blanchard who plays Louise played the young Judy Garland in her made for tv movie...Sandra Church also played Louise (I think in the Merman version) and then played the older Judy Garland in the same movie! Heh heh, Small world isn't it?

| posted: 8/24/2003 at 2:23:36 AM ET Okay, I tried to post this before and it didn't show up.
Several of the lead characters from Sleeping Beauty played dual roles. Christopher Reeve who played the prince who eventually wakes Sleeping Beauty(Bernadete) also played a prissy prince who came to Sleeping Beauty's kingdom as a potential husband for her. After he jumped into his father's arm because he was so frightened at a little dog barking at him, Sleeping Beauty's father thought better of the plan. Sally Kellerman who played Sleeping Beauty's mother also played an Arabian Queen who had a daughter, Princess Debbie played by Bernadette. I do agree that the show, despite being a part of a series made especially for children, was not geared toward children. Let's face it, Princess Debbie was a complete slut! And it seems I remember a few other sexual inuendos that were inappropriate for a children's show.
As for the Judy Garland movie, Sandra Church did not play the older Judy Garland - Judy Davis did. The same Judy Davis who played George Sand in Impromptu. See everything ties back to Bernadette. Hee Hee
