It was fun! Mary Tyler Moore seemed kind of out of it, yes? Bernadette looked great, so pretty! What a class act. I loved Kristin Chenoweth. She is adorable. The crowd went wild when she came out. What was the deal with the poor anorexic woman who got the award? For the love of Mary-Kate.

Oh, also, Donna Murphy looked fantastic.

I didn't see Bernadette's dogs there. I was looking for them. Haha.

I had a lot of fun...just got back to Maryland. I took a ton of pictures many of which did not turn out but some are really good. I am uploading them now and will edit this message with a link to see them.

Also, I hope some people got pictures of Kristin Chenoweth and can share them. I had to leave to catch a bus at 6:25 and she wasnt on yet. I left right after Shirley Jones and her son...so anything after that...I missed!

EDIT: Here's the link...PM me if it doesn't work...

How come I didn't see any of you? I was hanging with LaCageBoy, PA Fan, Sister Rose, Meagan(who won all this cool auction stuff) BwayBaby,...and Corey which I'm sure will join the board tonight after I insisted that he do so. Bernadette looked stunning!! And Mary Tyler Moore was really crazy, whats up with her? A little senile...
Uploading my pics now...

I didn't see ANYBODY...and once I got a spot in front of the stage, I was afraid to leave knowing my decent spot definately would not be there when I got back. I think I may have seen Chiquita (were you in a red tank top right in front of the stage?)

Oh, and there was something a little off with Mary Tyler Moore at times....(Vanessa Williams comment-Maybe just her sense of humor.) I can say that I enjoyed seeing her and that for the most part she seemed fine. I don't consider cue card/note card difficulties unusual...

Can't wait to see everyones pictures!

I don't remember it exactly but it had something to do with this brown dog they were showing. Then, MTM came up on stage and said something like "Bernadette and I think that dog looks like Vanessa Williams." There was a pause and then she said something like "we really do."

*living vicariously warning*

Sounds like you all had a lot of fun! Can't wait to see everybody's photos. Great photos, Mandy. You seem like you were really close to the stage. And major props to you for riding a bus from MD to NYC. Don't think I could have done it.

A dog looking like Vanessa Williams? Do we have a photo of the dog? Certainly a bizarre comment. Let's hope it was just the stress of the day and nothing seriously wrong.

I'll upload pics tomorrow. I did get some of Kristin Chenoweth. At one point she attempted to ride on the back of a great Dane that outweighed her by at least 60 lbs. lol She wasn't really gonna ride him of course, but the picture is odd because it looks like she's doing, ummmmm, something else. haha
I won the lottery at Wicked, so I attended the matinee show and therefore got to the event when there was already a crowd there. But I still got some really great pics. People left, and others manuvered so I ended up pretty close to the stage at one point. I saw Chip, BwayBaby, Chiquita, and Meg, but they were too far up for me to get to them.
I did get to say hi to PA Fan and Sister Rose after the crowd started to leave.
I was instructed to go home and study. lol Though I am seeing The Boy From Oz tomorrow, so studying will not be an option.

And guys, not to sound like a pain, but could you all please lay off of Mary Tyler Moore and some of her comments or actions this afternoon. She's a good woman, and she was working to the best of her ability today. Bernadette was there to back her up or step in for her (which she did a few times), and things went great. It's definitely a team effort, and everyone does a terrific job.

I was very pleased to see the dog Ginny (who is famous for rescuing cats). I remembering reading that book about her when I was about 12 years old (which was ten years ago). I was thrilled that she was there.
And Animal Planet gave Broadway Barks a check for $10,000. That's awesome!

Oh, and Julie Halston was so great and funny today. I hope to see her at future Broadway Barks. She was sort of a deputee MC. lol

Did anyone see Wittenberg today at Broadway Barks? I did not. I was on the look out for him. This further supports my previously stated theory that he is tiny pieces within the stomachs of her two dogs.

AM I WRONG?

Christine - Not to start a fight but I don't think any of us were being intentionally mean towards Mary Tyler Moore. We all understand that Broadway Barks takes a lot of energy, time, and dedication, and I, for one, couldn't appreciate it or respect them more. What they've contributed to animal welfare is enormous. So, yeah, basically, no disrespect intended.

Anyways, Ginny was there. Awww. I've heard of her before. I believe she was on Animal Planet.

Can't wait to see your pics!

aww that's okay eitak. I'm sure there was no malicious intent involved in the Mary statements (at least not the ones on this board anyway). I just kind of wanted to cut it off at the knees before it turned into something nasty.

Okay, phew. I just personally didn't want to be seen as disrespecting Mary Tyler Moore because nothing could be further from the truth. I can't even imagine how stressful putting all of that together is. Especially the year Bernadette MCed on her own.

Anyways, anyone know how many animals were adopted or how much money was raised?

Mary Tyler Moore has what can be at times a bizarre sense of humor. I saw nothing wrong with her today. It was just her sense of humor.
