I'd noticed it but wasnt sure of the quality. Now that it has been recommended, I also grabbed a copy.

Thought you'd all appreciate this one - (so typically Bernadette) A police officer who was walking around with her before the event got started (at about 3 or so) asked her if she wanted to go back stage to get ready.... she goes "no, I want to see the rest of the animals" and proceeded to go see them. Just shows how passionate she truly is about the cause.

From: NYC | posted: 7/12/2004 at 10:37:37 AM ET Good morning everybody - finally chiming in. What a fun day it was! I didn't go home w/ a kitty, but I talked to two different shelters and have applications (good grief, the applications are worse than a mortgage application). Anyway, it was so fun seeing everybody and Chip and LaCageAuxBoy just make me cry with laughter. Regarding the Vanessa Williams comment - the dog's name was Vanessa and she was beautiful. Enough said. I had fun with the bidding war for the Gypsy package - I really wanted it but didn't want to pay $500 so it was fun making the other person pay - thanks PAFan for helping chip in too if I had won. Sorry LaCageAuxBoy about Joel's chair - maybe we'll be bidding on your chair one of these days! It was fun mixing in with the Chenoweth girls too - but sorry I'm still not a fan of hers. Yes, I like her character in Wicked, but enough with the "me, me, me" - whoever thinks she is a young Bernadette is wrong - maybe in talent only - or maybe she just needs to attend Bernadette's Finishing School for Young Broadway Stars to learn a little grace and humility. Speaking of grace and humility, how about that jerk standing in front of our group? He was about to ruin it for all of us and he should have been bounced out of Schubert Alley. Oh well. It was a blast and I loved it all. Now, I just need to tackle that adoption application. Whew.
(PS Christine - When do you study?)(LOL)

From Internet Network: 24.46.230.x | posted: 7/12/2004 at 1:53:00 PM ET Hi Everyone-Just wanted to thank you all for supporting this year's event. Broadway Barks is indeed getting bigger and bigger and more well known. We will probably have some sort of press release telling the number of adoptions and money raised sometime within the next 2 weeks. I've loved looking at everyone's photos. I have a few good ones myself- but no skill whatsoever in knowing how to post them. I have sent them to people who do however. If anyone should have any photos of Ginny receiving her award or the Animal Planet check presentation please contact me ASAP- you can e-mail me via the Barks website. Again thank you all for supporting us- glad you had a good time.

From: Arizona | posted: 7/12/2004 at 5:44:35 PM ET This was my first year attending and I had so much fun. I guess I was standing next to quite a few of you and didn't realize. I also got there around 2pm and started waiting in front of the stage. I was wearing a black sleeveless top and a short tan skirt. Chiquita I think I was standing next to you for a while, did 3 young girls join you right before it started? The silent auction was awesome, I won one of the autographed Broadway Barks poster sets from last year. We had a great view of everything it was sooo worth waiting 3 hours in the heat and flying in from Arizona.

From: Alabama | posted: 7/14/2004 at 12:59:44 PM ET Hey everybody! It took me a while to get through all that and read. I had a fabulous time! Got to meet lots of new friends like PAfan and SisterRose and LaCage, and old ones like BwayBaby and Meg. Anyway, Kristin's fans were um, enthusiastic to say the least. I love her but um, wow. Anyways The pups were so precious! I'm so glad I got to go, it was my first year but only the beginning of something that I think I'll be doing for a while. Maybe next year a puppy!
Bump it with a trumpet!

From: Arizona | posted: 7/16/2004 at 11:35:04 PM ET Chiquita I didn't mind at all, they were very well behaved girls and so short and tiny that they didn't block my view at all. When the show started I stepped back into the second row and let my sister stand in front of me and still managed to have a perfect view and get awesome pics, which I'm still trying to figure out how to post. Bernadette was gorgeous and had a great sense of humor. I loved her comment about how the police were coming for Mary when she heard the sirens. As for Mary's comments, I don't think they were that unusual...I agree with those who said she has a strange sense of humor b/c I've heard her say some odd things before that I believe were intended to be jokes and didn't come across well. She is definitely not senile. I wouldn't have thought twice about the Vanessa Williams thing if it hadn't been mentioned on several message boards.
Sorry for the delay in posting. My trip had some interesting twists and I ended up staying in NYC a week and just got home last night.
