From: Edinburgh, Scotland | posted: 6/8/2006 at 9:16:17 AM ET Jean, thank you so much for those links. It looks like we won't get to see the Tony Awards on television this side of the Atlantic. Usually the E channel does all the red carpet events at Award shows but not this time. I'm heartbroken.
But ... I'm pleased to say that the Performance channel in the UK is broadcasting Bernadette's Actors Studio appearance a couple of times on Sunday, June 12th. I've been ringing them up pestering them to show it for ages but they said they hadn't got the licence for the BP edition. Looks like they have regained it, thank goodness. So at least we have a little bit of exposure for Bernadette on British TV this week!
as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....

From: northern VA | posted: 6/8/2006 at 9:22:52 AM ET Scottie, I don't think E! has ever done the Tony red carpet thing, but I could be wrong. The TV Guide channel did one last year, but it just focused on the Hollywood celebrities that presented or were in a show at the time, and ignored everyone else. The anchors were also quite clueless about most of the shows.
Jean, XM and Sirius ("The Dog") are rivals in the satellite radio market (the only two major satellite networks so far), and have rabid cheerleaders (who usually don't miss an opportunity to slam the competition) for their respective networks.

I am very excited. After years of applying I was finally chosen to be a seat filler. I got the whole outfit together last weekend (dress, shoes, make-up and jewelry) so waiting this week has been unbearable. LOL I'll report back if anything interesting happens.

From: NYC | posted: 6/8/2006 at 11:41:16 AM ET NY1 is doing the red-carpet (not sure if that's available online via webcast), plus there will be a live webcast on www.tonyawards.com prior to the broadcast. 56 presenters have been announced so far. So far, not everybody I'm hoping will be there as been announced. I'm hoping that "It's Today" that the announcement will come otherwise I'll be "so depressed I can hardly talk on the phone".

I'm not sure how exciting it will be. I imagine myself running around a lot to fill someone's seat for 10 minutes. Certainly don't think I'll be hobnobbing with the celebs too much but I'm sure it will still be at least a little exciting to just be there. I'll let you all know.

Registered: 6/26/2003 | posted: 6/8/2006 at 5:06:38 PM ET Congratulations Moljul, hope you have a good time. I was talking to an acquaintance the other day who, I found out, has been going to the Tony Awards since before they moved to Radio City. I didn’t get too many gory details, but I was told that they have a heck of a time getting people back into their seats after the commercials and have tried to come up with ways to keep them there during the breaks. Apparently some participants never even sit in their seats. I remember one of the Kennedy Centers that Bernadette was at where the fella she was with at the time was pretty easy to spot but there was always somebody else sitting next to him.

I have heard quite a bit goes on during the commercial breaks so I'll let you know.

No, not necessarily. I'm not sure she ever even sat in the audience to begin with. Like last year too when she opened the Tonys and then presented Best Actor in a musical towards the end of the broadcast. I wonder if it's sometimes more comfortable to hang out backstage if possible.
