What's wrong with Harry Connick's voice?

I don't like the way they're mentioning selected past winners for the awards. It seems silly to single out 3 or 4 when there are so many. Almost a slight to all the rest.

You don't need training to know that was vocal crap in every way.

Not to mention a boring opening. Enough with the "There's No Business Like Show Business."* Even if Bernadette sings it (again) for an opening. I don't want to hear it. Think of something a bit more creative.

*Also applies to "Give My Regards to Broadway."

Drowsy Chaperone looked kind of cute but somehow I was expecting a liitle more.

Sutton Foster was so cute, I wanted to break something. Glenn Close seemed to agree.

That's interesting that the music and lyrics for TDC were shared.

Yay for Sweeney Todd!

I almost jumped up and cheered in my living room after Sweeney. Brilliant!

Wedding Singer looked like a complete monstrosity. How did THAT get a nomination?

I really, really want them to go back to showing clips from the plays. The argument that they wouldn't make sense out of context is weak, since the same can be said for the musical numbers. Yes, the musical numbers have a definite ending, and clips from the plays would be tricky, but something should be done other than these few seconds.

God bless Broadway!

Okay-the reeenactors for the Hal Prince tribute are creepy.

Dreamgirls!

I thought the same thing about the Hal Prince tribute! I even said the exact same word--"creepy."

Ya know, quite a few people in that room have been in Hal Prince shows. They could have whipped something together other than THAT.

Lovely-the replacement Tony.
