Is there a possibility you could make a road trip to FL or Houston?
Do you like Patti LuPone? She has a concert scheduled in Atlanta next May.

Registered: 8/14/2003 | posted: 9/13/2004 at 10:33:28 PM ET Question: For those of you who've been fans for many years, how many concerts does she typically do? Seems like they are pretty concentrated (FL, CA, TX, MA.) Do you think more cities will be added or are her tours usually pretty limited?

Registered: 6/7/2003 | posted: 9/13/2004 at 11:05:23 PM ET I guess it depends on what else she's doing. In the years since 1997 she's done concerts in Radio City Music Hall, Kansas City, St. Louis, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Ravenia, Salem, Costa Mesa, Newark, San Francisco, Tulsa (well, we know what to order from room service here), West Point, Syracuse, Buffalo, Schenectady, Charlotte, Akron, Honolulu, Minneapolis, Galveston, Dallas, Phildelphia, Princeton, Washington, Atlantic City, Providence, Salt Lake City, etc. Plus of course, the Florida circuit. (Not an all-inclusive list, by any means, but you get the picture: she's been in a lot of places.) Many were special occasions, fund-raisers and such. A couple were cancelled because of 9-11. She did a lot of concerts in 1997-98, then of course none in 1999 except for New Years Eve in Colorado. Then as soon as she left AGYG, she did quite a few in the rest of 2000-maybe 8-10. She did a lot in 2001, not so many in 2002. Clearly she had lots of other things to do in 2002. She doesn't seem to work much in December.
Will she add more concerts? I think it depends on what else she's got to do, and maybe what her record company would like her to do in the way of publicizing the new record. But it probably depends most on what she feels like doing at this point in her career--in the past she's seemed to go back to the concerts, but, who knows?

Registered: 8/14/2003 | posted: 9/16/2004 at 11:52:42 AM ET You should be able use Kevin's links on the calendar page to get to the concert info and ticket pages. That's how I looked at Houston and Boston...not sure about the others...

From: NYC | posted: 9/16/2004 at 12:09:58 PM ET I bought the tix for PA Fan, Chip, La Cage and me Monday morning when they went on sale and there werent that many good ones left...its because the Boston Symphony has lots of season subscribers and they get first choice at tix.

From: Maryland | posted: 9/16/2004 at 3:01:25 PM ET Yeah, the ticket selection they have left is pretty bad. I went online on Monday when they went on sale, and by the time I got on (it was still early in the morning), they were already at the double-lettered part of the orchestra.
But my friend and I figured having some mediocre tickets were better than having no tickets. Hopefully, we'll get lucky with the upgrade.

(say...by cab?)
