What color is her hair exactly, anyone have any idea? it's like a rich red... but i'm wondering what the name is.

The technical term used by hair colorists is "Bernadette Peters red."

Sorry, actually I have no idea because I don't know about that kind of stuff.
"Titian-red" maybe? I don't know, but it's a good question. Fashion mavens would know the answer.

Her hair is naturally brown.

It's hard to say what color her hair is dyed because it changes. If you look at the pictures from More magazine, it looks like her hair is a lighter red with some strawberry-blonde highlights. I would suggest that if you want to dye your hair to look like Bernadette, take a photo with you to your hair stylist. That way they can see what you want.

i'm a natural brunette... but i have blue eyes and i think that Rachel York looks amazing when she has red hair. and i think Bernadette obviously looks stunning with her red hair.
i was thinking to put in Strawberry-blonde highlights into my hair... but would that look weird on brown hair? or should i just die it all strawberry-blonde redish?

people have told me i'd look great w/ red hair cuz of my eyes. i duno.

any advice would be much appreciated!

Go for it.... dye it all strawberry-blonde redish... you can always dye it back if you don't like it. Maybe you'll love yourself with red hair!

I have naturally red hair... but it's more along the lines of a cross between Michele Pawk and Michelle DeJean type red.

Be careful about dying your hair lighter and then dying it back to a dark color... if not done properly it can destroy your hair.

Yeah, dyeing your hair too many times can definitely cause damage (speaking from experience!) But if you get it done professionally, by people who know what they're doing, it shouldn't be an issue. I'd say go for the red hair! I recently added a tint of red to may hair, (decided red isn't for me) but if I hadn't done it I'd always wonder what it would look like. So you may as well try it and see what happens!

so i think i'll get red highlights in my hair. i'm just not sure what to call it when i go to the salon... like what red? cuz strawberry blonde highlights might look weird in brown hair, maybe? i'm just not sure.
my mom offered to do it for me, but i'd rather be definite about having it done well.

k just becareful on picking the color...if you are going to do it yourself...DONT and i repeat DONT buy the stuff from target or where ever, go to a beauty supply place buy a bottle of 20 developer and wella brand dye. you will get a much better look at a fraction on the price. and no i'm not a hair stylist, i just have the most awesome colorist. oh yeah and get the deap conditioning packet for like $0.99 to use afterwards. and have fun, remember you can fix any red with ash brown, play and have fun it is just hair, i should know every 6 weeks i'm a different shade of red

i have ALWAYS wanted red hair! I've been thinking about putting red highlights in my hair too, BUT where I am, the show business wants a natural look and my hair has a little bit of natural blond and reed hylights which kinda make my hair look auburn.

My hair is actually naturally brown with red and gold highlights in it (sorta the color of Bernadette's)...I've never dyed it in my life but I am always being asked about it.

I say "Go for it" if you want to try something new...if you don't like it you can always go back! Just be careful about doing it too often, as the others said! hehe
