I'm seriously thinking of dying my hair red with black ends but then i can't get the spirel perm which i really really want. that i have done before and i really liked it. i might just ask the hair stylist if there is any safe way to do both. if so then i will. if any1 knows a safe way please tell. have the spiral done first because if you color first the perm solution will essentially remove the color so just spiral then color but wait a week or so in between so you can condition your hair

here's what NOT to do: buy a box of auburn dye (made for DARK hair) when you're a blonde, dye your hair, decide it's not red enough, and re-dye it right away. guess what color i turned out? kind of a brown-red-MAROON. it was great. and because it was made for dark hair, it didn't wash out when it said it would...i had it for like a year. but by the end it looked really nice, because it had kind of washed out and my blonde was showing through and it had grown out some. so if you've got something coming up in a year..it's a good look!
