Kristin Chenoweth and I are the same height exactly - 4'11. I know this for a fact because the last time I stood next to her, she said to me, "How great. I almost forgot, you're 4'11 too, aren't you?"
I have NO idea how tall Bernadette is, though. I thought she was 5'3. I am probably wrong. lol

Norbert Leo Butz: I have this Errol Flynn moment where I swing in on this rope. One night in San Francisco, I let go of the rope and the rest of the actors started cracking up. I turned around and the rope had literally tied around Kristin's head and got caught on her crown and was pulling her off stage. It was like watching Barbie get hung.

What I was trying to say the entire time by saying that Bernadette looks "normal" is that she's in such great proportion that she doesn't look short. Kristen Chenoweth, on the other hand, looks like a midget. If Bernadette were as strikingly short as people say she is, she wouldn't be as castable as she is, and wouldn't have had as varied a career.

I was re-watching "Into the Woods" last night. As the witch in Act Two, Bernadette had three-inch heels and six-inch hair. She looked about 5-9.
She can hold her own no matter what. You can't hold back THAT MUCH talent. 'cuz, boys, she's got it!!

just for the record - when i went to see Gypsy i took a picture with bernadette and stood next to her for quite a while - i m exactly 5'2" and i had four inch heels on ~ she had heels on that looked to be about the same and we were just about the same height, so i figure 5'2" is about right ~

There probably isn't any more that can be said on this topic, but here goes regardless:
what I find amusing is that, for a reason I don't get, people don't want to believe her when she said, on national TV, that she is 5'2"! (why would she fudge on her height?)
what I find more interesting and of a more serious nature is the emphasis we place on the physical aspects of a performer--of course in the case of a performer who made something of a name for herself by presenting a "bombshell" image, not surprising.

Oh, just remembered...'91 Grammys when Bernadette was standing next to Tommy Tune! My Dad came in the room when I was watching that and he just started laughing.

Too Funny That was great whoever posted -- 3 feet or 3'1" maybe -- I really did a LOL on that one.
I do know that when a bunch of us met her at the stage door of AGYG she did make the comment of 'Oh now you guys will see how short I am'. Gotta love that girl, she is so damn cute.
Just remember the old saying........It's not the size of the package...........

Well since she had her normal 5 inch heels on, I think her view was his stomach. It was quite an interesting sight. LOL

Funny thing. At a bookstore today, I picked up a book on birthdays, and checked, among others, Bernadette's – she and Tommy Tune share the same birthday, both Feb. 28.
Still, I doubt they were separated at birth...
