Anyone know of any discount codes for this show?

Haven't seen any discounts for it...but I saw it and found that full price was worth it. It's a beautiful story. The cast was great. If you can try to sit in the middle somewhere - there are no mikes and sometimes its difficult to hear.

I saw This yesterday and it was really good. This was my 32nd show I have seen on Broadway, but my first play (non-musical). I loved Phylicia Rashad in The Cosby Show and got to meet her at the stage door, got pics, and an autograph! Thanks Sister Rose, for the mic warning....you were right!

Glad you got to see it! I've only seen a few plays myself - this one and then a couple of off-Broadway plays. I still love the musicals the best. I agree with you on Phylicia Rashad - she's just wonderful. I loved her on the Cosby show too.

What are the best seats?

Definitely middle front orchestra. I was orchestra but stage left - they were good for viewing, but sometimes hard to hear the dialogue. Hope you go.

I would definitely recommend going too. I tried for a week to get tickets online, but they were sold out. Then Tuesday around midnight I got two tickets 5th row, left orchestra for the Wednesday matinee. I guess some seats opened up.

Are you sure there were no mics for this show?? I saw in June and sat in the front row and swear I saw floor mics hidden in the set! Maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe there were floor mics, but the actors were definitely not wearing body mics when I saw it - at times when they would turn to each other upstage and do their dialogue I just could not hear it. I also found it to be a very loud audience which could also attribute to the sound problem.
