Does anyone know the deal with rush tickets to Wicked? or in general.... like do they have them even if a show is sold out?

Well student rush tickets are different for every show. Most shows, you can just pick them up a hour or so before the show. For Wicked and Rent, they hold a lottery in which you put your name in a hat and they draw one name. That person usually gets two tickets in the first couple of rows. From personal experience, student rush is AWESOME!!! I mean, for a college student that doesn't have the money to get great seats, it really is great. Also, some shows had their student rush in the first row (gypsy and wonderful town). Others have them in the back (42nd st.,fiddler)
