What are your plans for the summer? Going anywhere interesting? Taking summer courses? Any special events going on-graduating,getting married, starting a new job, etc?
In my case,I'll be receiving my masters degree and moving...somewhere. Right now,it may be local-or it may be Texas or Virginia (please,Virgina!).
What about you?

| posted: 4/30/2004 at 12:14:23 PM ET Well other than work, work, work as usual, I will be taking a week off to travel to Maryland to spend some time with my brand new niece, Rebecca. Of course when that will be will depend on when SHE decides to make her world debut but she is due on May 27th. But I'm very excited to become an aunt for the first time. I don't even want to add up the money I've ALREADY spent on things for her.

I will get to the beach a few times
I plan on swimming 10-20 minutes of laps in the pool at least 1-2 days per week in addition to my usual 5 days per week of water aerobics (you have your work I have mine)
I will learn to prepare one new recipe-probably a cold soup
I am going somewhere in September-not at all sure what continent much less what country
**I will miss Gypsy and all of the wonderful folks in the cast**

| posted: 4/30/2004 at 5:57:17 PM ET Well, I was supposed to be going to Las Vegas at the end of June, but those plans were changed. Vegas in the summer is kind of crazy anyway. lol
I'm not really planning any big vacations this summer. I will be working and going to school (because I'm crazy and I go to school all year 'round. lol). I am going up to MA in August to attend a Kristin Chenoweth Concert with the Boston Pops at Tanglewood. I love road trips, so when one of my friends said, "Let's go!" I said, "Okay! ."
I do have some friends coming into town in June, so I'll probably meet up with them while they're here and maybe see a show, go to a comedy club. I do want to go to the Statue of Liberty now that it's open again. I haven't been there since I was very young.
OH! And I am seeing Kristin's last performance in Wicked on July 18th! Yay! lol
By the way Moljul, congrats on becoming an Aunt. You will have to use your powers to turn Rebecca into a Broadway/Bernadette fan. lol

Sometime in August I'm going to Daytona Beach for a little while.

Registered: 8/14/2003 | posted: 4/30/2004 at 8:15:49 PM ET Hmmm...summer plans. That assumes I make it through the rest of this school year (the kids get nuts this time of year.) Already took a great vacation to New Orleans over Easter (wouldn't have been nearly as fun without Jenn's input.) I will be going on a cruise in June to Key West, the Bahamas and somewhere else that I can't think of right now. It leaves out of Baltimore so no "pre-travel" plans are necessary since I live in MD. Also, hopefully will make it out to St. Louis to visit friends who are having a baby within the next 2 weeks. Haven't seen this graduate school friend and her husband in almost 2 years! Oh, and I will travel to NY for Broadway Barks this year as I've never been before.
Was in NY last weekend for Gypsy, this weekend for Hairspray, and then Wicked on the 16th. I will be in NY from May 7-9 with a friend from Fargo, ND who's never been to NY and is getting ready to move to California. I will attempt to be a tourguide while there though my knowledge of NY is VERY limited so this should prove quite comical!
What a neat thread you started! Definately better than some of the crazy ones started recently! Moljul....you'll have to let the Marylanders know when you are going to be in town!

I'll carry your bags and pack for you and I'm great at actually planning trips. You always seem to be off to the most interesting places.

From: northern VA | posted: 5/1/2004 at 2:34:26 AM ET Moljul-How exciting-a new baby in the family! Just *wait* until you hold that precious newborn in your arms. Rebecca is a lovely name (and yes, baby items are shockingly expensive-especially the clothes, when they grow out of them so quickly.).
Jean-my uncle used to live in Belgium. You will have an exquisite time.
Christine-I feel your pain. There's just something about summer school that really drags. I took summer courses during my undergrad and grad years,so I know how you feel. And I would save the Vegas trip for when the temps aren't in the 100 degrees mark!
Kevin-hope that paper gets accepted! Good luck with that!
Mandy-let me say again how thrilled I am that you enjoyed New Orleans. I know if I do leave the area,I will miss it very much. There really is no place in the country like it.
Before I move,I'm probably going to take a trip up to cajun country-it's been a while since I've been in that area, and a group of us from school want to go (some are from out of town, and have never been). I'm also going to play tourist in New Orleans.
C'est tout. Bonne nuit a tous.

Gee, I wonder who that friend could be...

Q: Any funny incidents or accidents with Kristin (Chenoweth)?
Norbert Leo Butz: I have this Errol Flynn moment where I swing in on this rope. One night in San Francisco, I let go of the rope and the rest of the actors started cracking up. I turned around and the rope had literally tied around Kristin's head and got caught on her crown and was pulling her off stage. It was like watching Barbie get hung.

Jaime will get to see the scary road rage in me should we hit traffic. *teehee
We will have to bring lots of showtunes for to listen in the car, and then blast them so other drivers can look over and think we're crazy.

Then I went horseback riding for 4 weeks, and went to Long Island to see Julie Andrews' The Boyfriend. I don't know how I'm going to top that!

| posted: 6/5/2004 at 3:26:23 PM ET I have been to Rome, Padua (also known as Padova), Milan, Assisi, Florence, and Venice.
I must say that Venice was my favorite. I love water, and I happened to be there in the Spring, so the sun was just sparkling off the canals. Florence was quite magnificent as well. The buildings are so amazingly historic. I wish I spoke Italian because I would live there. lol
I wasn't very impressed with Milan. To me it was like being home.
