 | posted: 5/13/2004 at 10:43:23 PM ET I really liked it. The cast recording is actually one of my favorite Broadway Cast Recordings. I have not seen Susan Egan, but I did see Sutton Foster in it twice and thought she and the rest of the cast were fantastick.

 I put "Millie" over "42nd St" when people ask for suggestions.
 
 NINE and Urinetown are more what I like, but as far as old book musicals go, "Millie" is good.

 | posted: 5/15/2004 at 1:03:59 AM ET I also found a few parts in the first act slow but it picked up in the second act and I enjoyed the fact that they added a few twists to the ending that were not in the movie. I'm a huge fan of Julie Andrews and Mary Tyler Moore so it will never be quite the same as the movie for me.
 Also I made the mistake of seeing it the day after seeing Gypsy.

  . I loved it, and as much as I like the movie, the play was definitely better, mostly because Millie is spunkier and Sutton Foster really did a great job.

 | posted: 6/3/2004 at 9:50:22 AM ET I was fortunate enough to see the original cast when I saw it in the winter of 2002. I thought it was wonderful and very inventive. Sutton Foster, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Harriet Harris were amazing. I haven't gone back to see the new cast and I really have no desire to. The cast recording is great though!
