I just saw the National Tour company of "The Producers" on Sunday. Although it, of course, wasn't as good as the original (Nathan, Matthew, Cady), it was surprisingly good. Brad Oscar who I saw in the orginal cast as "Franz Liebkind" was really good as Max and Andy Taylor and Ida Leigh Curtis did an awesome job as Leo and Ulla. My only complaint is that I was exhausted from laughing so hard. :-) What a joy this musical is! If you can't get to NYC, come to Boston... it's definitely worth it.

I live in NY, but I still haven't seen The Producers.
Oddly enough, I will be in Boston in 2 weeks. Maybe I'll catch the tour version since I've only seen shows on Broadway...I've never seen a tour version of a Broadway show.
I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.

Christine, go for it! Brad Oscar was really, really good.

Just in case you're looking for a good restaurant in our wimpy little theatre district (hmmm, two streets probably can't really claim the "district" title), I really love "Penang" on Washington Street for amazing Malaysian food. Also, if you walk up Tremont away from the theatres about 4-5 blocks, there's a little place called "Fajitas & Ritas" that has great basic Mexican at very affordable prices. It's on West Street between Tremont and Washington. Hope you enjoy Beantown!

Hey thanks for the tips. I've never been to Boston before. I love Mexican food, so I'll deinitely have to try that Fajita place.
