From: NYC | posted: 8/2/2004 at 12:25:35 PM ET For you New Yorkers who haven't taken the chance to see "Much Ado About Nothing" at Shakespeare in the Park, it's ending on August 8th. It's well worth sitting on line. I got to the line at 9:00 am on Saturday morning w/ a book, a Bernadette cd and snacks and the wait until 1:00 pm for the ticket handout wasn't so bad. The performance was a lot of fun. I loved seeing Sam Waterston too since I'm such a Law & Order nut.

From: Texas | posted: 8/2/2004 at 2:04:05 PM ET I Love Shakespeare in the Park and Dallas Shakespeare festival, which I just performed in. We did "A Midsummer Night's Dream." A few years back we did Much Ado About Nothing - I was Beatrice. Wish I could have bee nto the NY Shakespeare in the park though!

From: northern VA | posted: 8/2/2004 at 5:19:29 PM ET Is that the Junior Players program with Dallas Shakespeare? That's a great program-Dallas students are fortunate to have it. If I'm wrong,I apologize. I have cousins who subscribe to Dallas Shakespeare, and they see all the shows, including the Junior Players, and I'm sure they saw the Much Ado production as well (was that in 2001? I almost went, but I couldn't stay longer. Darn, and I could be sitting here telling Skibabi about the show!)
Did Dallas Morning News review the show? They usually do.

| posted: 8/2/2004 at 5:25:04 PM ET Sister Rose, I'm glad you posted, especially the time it took you. I was imagining one would have to arrive MUCH earlier than 9 a.m. I might just go for it this weekend.
I have to admit, I've had a bit of a crush on Sam Waterston for years.

From: NYC | posted: 8/2/2004 at 5:32:35 PM ET I have a crush on Sam too! There's just something about him. In the second act his character becomes angry at the accusations toward his daughter Hero...I loved it because it was reminiscent of Jack McCoy! I'm such a Law & Order junkee. I met Dick Wolf at a booksigning and I saw Jerry Orbach by the Gristedes on 8th Ave at 54th one morning. If I saw Sam I'd probably pass out. Sometimes L&O tapes near my block on the Upper West Side but I've never seen the actors - just the production crew and it could be taping for one of the other L&O's too.
Advice - since it's the last week I would get there at 8:00 am instead of 9:00 just to be safe.

From: Texas | posted: 8/7/2004 at 1:47:53 PM ET Jr. Players is associated with the Dallas Shakespear festival, yes. And last year was my last year to be in it. I personally like the actually Dallas Shakespeare festival show better than jr. p, but they are more professionally cast too. so, hehe.
