Has anyone seen this musical? I heard that there is one young girl in it who is really good (I think she plays Seama) and was just wondering if other people saw the musical too.

I saw this great show twice. I think the girl that plays Sema is named Kelli. She has
an awesome voice and is really a great actress.

Kelly Anne is still playing the role of Seama and has been since November, 2003. She is currently sharing the role with Emily just for the summer.

I heard that the producer of the show has been approached to turn the musical into a movie. My mother has an agent friend in
LA who told her that there was a lot of studio interest and "they were throwing a lot
of money" at the producer but he wants director and star approval before agreeing.
They are also discussing a TV series but the movie would come first.

Don't believe any good thing you hear about this show. I went because I had a friend in the cast. It was horrible. The composer is apparently the producer too, so that is really the only reason why the show is still running. My friend tells me that they had a performance for the Friar's Club because the producer belongs to the group and over half of the audience left at intermission. What was this guy thinking? The Friar's Club is full of people that are in SERIOUS theatre. And as for "Stoop the Movie," the unexperienced producer is just trying to keep the actor's interest in the show because a mediocre show can't draw good talent. My friend is leaving soon, and I can't wait for him to leave that disaster behind.

I agree with the last posting. This show needs to make way for serious shows. I also have a friend on the production staff, and he tells me that the movie deal is just a marketing ploy. There is no way that a show so inept as this would be made into a movie. I also have reason to believe that the producer himself posted the lies about the movie. Get a clue, Mr. Kholos!

I have seen the show about two times cause my friend is in it. The cast seem to be talented in many ways but the show itself is horrible. My friend told me that they recently have gone from a live orchestra to using tracks that sound like midi files that a computer or cell phone would use. I also found out that they don't even pay some of their employees. That seems possible cause they can't even sell out shows. On the note of the friar's show that they had, I also heard that more than half the members left during the performance. The producer is apparently not educated in the theater realm and does not belong to it. Don't waste your time or money to see this show.
