On the Washington, Dc public tv station, WETA, on Dec. 5 @ 8:00pm: "My Name is Barbra". (On Dec. 4 @8:00pm on Maryland public tv, WMPB.)
The first of Barbra Streisand's tv specials, from 1965 (?), this is one not to miss!
I have no idea when or if it will be broadcast in other cities.

Jean, I brought the new DVD set and have only watched "My Name..." thus far.
I had not seen it since "back in the day."
I have not yet gotten over how extraordinarily talented, stylized and polished the lady already was in her 20s. And the CBS suits gave her control of the show! Amazing.
Unique. An overused word today, but she was that.
Another thought while watching: What network would today put this on?? PBS, maybe. But the big 3? No way.
