Hey all-
The 3 talented ladies who play Tessie, Mazeppa, and Electra gave a fabulous interview on NPR today. Anyone else catch it? I would have posted earlier, but I didn't know it was on until it actually was on. Very good interview--talked about the reheasals a little bit, shared some costume nightmare moments. Kate had a great bit about how she came to appreciate musicals through Sam's treating Gypsy like a play. All in all, a fabulous interview...Just thought I'd share that with ya'll. And since you check occasionally Kate, I thought I'd tell you it was smashing.

Which show,please? NPR website has some archived material,but it helps to know the show.

I don't know the name of the show. Like I said, I only happened to be listening. It was Leonard Lope (sp?) interviewing them.

I just checked on the NPR website and while I didnt find the strippers interview you can input Bernadette's name in the search box and listen to some past interviews of hers. The interviewers are kind of dull but Bernadette's responses are still interesting.

The show looks like it's a local WNYC show so that's why it's not on the NPR site. You can listen to the interview here (assuming I got this link right):
