An old episode of the David Letterman show with Bernadette will be on Trio on September 25th at 9 p.m. I think the episode will be from 1982 but I'm not sure.
Now if she would only go on the current season but I know that is hard because of when they tape. Oh well, one can hope.

If the other guest is Sam Phillips, the episode would be from 1986. She was on a month or so before the Tonys. If she's been on since then, I haven't heard about it. Of course when Michael Douglas was on promoting It Runs in the Family or the In-laws remake, I believe they said it had been 18 years since he had been on.

It's a great episode- one of my favorite talk show appearances ever, actually! I don't think I get this channel- but enjoy! And let us now how you liked it.

One of my favorite talk show appearances was the time she was on the Tonight Show and talked about wearing her bridesmaid gown upside down and sang an exquisite version of "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" Anyone else remember seeing that?

Yes that was a funny episode of the Tonight Show. She seemed to always be very good and funny on his show but that one is a particular favorite.

How do even go about wearing a bridesmaid's dress upside down? I've was my sisters bridesmaid 2 weeks ago and my brother's 2 years ago and I don't see how I could possibly have worn either of them upside down!!!

It was a two piece dress so she really just wore the top upside down and when she explained it you could see how it possible but it was still a funny story.

That just reminded me of when Kristin Chenoweth was on the Caroline Rhea Show and talked about how she accidently wore a tube top (meant for a regular sized person) as a mini skirt.
To cute. She even brought the top/skirt on the show to show how big it was on her.

Just wanted to bump this up to the top. It is on tonight. Also for those of you who are in the NYC area and watch NY1's Onstage there was a little story at the beginning of this week's show about the CD release with some footage of Bernadette and the gang. It's on at the very beginning of the show and I think tonight is the last time this episode will air.

Well I made a mistake with dates back in August but I'm fairly certain I'm reading the calendar right this time.
Tomorrow night, Thursday, September 25th, Bernadette will be on an old episode of David Letterman at 9 p.m. on the Trio Channel.

I don't have this channel. Does someone who have the Jeff Barnholdt video that he made of her know if it has this on the tape? I've ordered one but it still hasn't come in.

I have it, and I don't remember a segment from Letterman. Nor do I remember one from the Tonight Show (although I could be blanking, here.) I remember a few: Joan Rivers, Sonny and Cher, Carol Burnett, Rosie, Regis, to name a few... but I don't remember those.

No, the Letterman appearance is not on Jeff Barnholdt's tapes, nor is the Tonight show one that's mentioned earlier in this thread. There is one earlier Johnny Carson segment from about 1987. Too bad these two aren't included--I've never seen them and they sound great.

Just so you know, Jeff recently added a third Bernadette tape to his collection. It has some more up-to-date interviews, though I don't think that includes the Letterman one.
