The Gypsy program is now available at broadwaynewyork.com so I am assuming it is also available at the theatre. Couldn't come at a better time, I'm seeing the show tomorrow!

Yay! This means there will be programs when I go. They weren't available when I was in NY in May. Woo! Maybe I'll go and get her to sign it early, before I see the show.

Programs are $15 at the theater (I bought two to have one of the covers framed).

Saw the show for the fifth time Monday night. It was the best yet (Ms. Peters' voice was rested and not strained on any numbers). Particularly astounding were the two "finales": "Everything's Coming..." and "Rose's Turn." She nailed them both and both had the most passion and intensity I'd seen yet. It's just astounding...both of these songs/scenes are so very devastating and so very wonderful, all at the same time. Breaks your heart...

At the Saturday matinee, she sang the third line second of the end of "Everything's..." She sang "Everything's gonna be bright lights and lollipops" before "Everything's coming up sunshine and Santa Claus." I was all worried: 'Oh, god, the orchestra is gonna play an extra bar and she's gonna be a line short.' But I saw her turn and glance down at Marvin to see where he was gonna go, and she just sang the second line third and finished with the orchestra. If you didn't know the lyric, you'd never know the difference. But, then, of course...she's a pro.

Monday night she signed my Playbill with "Happy Birthday" (which was Tuesday). For those who might not know, she carries a silver-ink pen that will write on the dark cover of the Playbill as well as on the new glossy program. I had a ballpoint pen and the title page open (instead of the cover), thinking that would make her sig more visible.
Also outside the stagedoor, there was a little girl with Down's Syndrome who was having a hard time waiting patiently for Ms. Peters to come out. But the little girl was rewarded with a big hug from Bernadette and Mom got a picture of both together. Nice moment.

P.S. Overheard a vendor in the theater Saturday night say that purple T-shirts are to come.

Questions: When is the jerk at the Post gonna apologize? Why would anyone think BP couldn't do this role? And when are they gonna film this cast? It's classic, dammit. It should be preserved.
And, too, it's costing me a fortune... (and worth every last penny!!)

Thanks for the new update. I'm seeing it for the 11th time (I can't believe I just admitted that) on Friday. Can't wait.
