Altough, I do not know if that will be the case this year. It will defnitely be announced in advance before she takes any vacation time.

From Internet Network: 24.131.189.x | posted: 8/6/2003 at 9:03:28 PM ET To be more specific - we are concerned about the fact that it's a major Jewish Holiday (we are Jewish too), and her husband is Jewish....we would be disappointed to have spent $400 if she is not performing that weekend....what are your thoughts..thank you

From: New York City | posted: 8/6/2003 at 9:05:44 PM ET Hey, that's actually a fairly interesting question. Is Bernadette jewish? And are jewish performers allowed to take off a day for the high-holy-holidays? (Rosh Hashana isn't so much a big deal as Yom Kippur is -- that's the day you're supposed to stay home and fast.)
Anyway. I know Bernadette is Italian, but I have no idea if she's jewish. I know the last movie she was in she played a jewish mom and cooked briscuit... but that doesn't count. lol.

Regis: And look at all this hair. My God. That's a lot of hair. Look at this. How does hair get this way?
Bernadette: Um.. it sort of grew out of my head like this.

From Internet Network: 24.131.189.x | posted: 8/6/2003 at 9:33:25 PM ET Again, the question was not whether or not SHE is Jewish, but because her hubby is - we are worried they will write it into her contract that she has that weekend off, since it's a pretty big holiday. Is there ever a way to find out what weekends she is NOT performing?
Thanks to all.....
