Just thought I'd mention that someone posted a concert version of Bernadette singing "Making Love Alone" on youtube. Unfortunately, it isn't a live video, but they did pick a random picture of her that almost makes it look as if she is shocked by what she's hearing as well. I swear, there are only a handful of people in this world who could get away with that song, but I can't help laughing along with her when I hear it.

Bernadette sang this at Carnegie Hall. She also sang it on Saturday Night Light and on the Johnny Carson Show. The look on Johnny's face in response was priceless.

She also sang it at her London RFH concert. Shame it was cut from the DVD.

I'd heard the version from the Johnny Carson performance, but this one was new to me. It just cracks me up.

Oh, I got the avatar from a random photo shoot I happened upon one day while googling pictures. Googling pictures sounds kinda wrong now that I think about it...but that's the most correct terminology I can think of for using the google search engine. Oh well, it was cute so I grabbed it

That version is definitely from her Carnegie Hall Concert. Yes, only Bernadette can successfully stand on the stage of Carnegie Hall, decked out in a Bob Mackie gown and sing a song about masturbation!

"Particular mention must be made of Bernadette Peters, who turns up briefly in a sort of sparkly Glinda the Good costume. She's the reluctant muse sent to help Alice with her writing. The muse is dressed like Oz, sounds like Queens and behaves like a bored student adviser." Alice Film Review, The New York Times, December 25, 1990

"I'm one star away from Dolly Parton ... and Raymond Massey is between us. I hope we don't suffocate him." Bernadette Peters receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, April 24, 1987
