| posted: 8/8/2001 at 8:28:26 PM ET Wow! You're going to California and Florida?? That's cool. The only ones I'm looking at going to are the Newark, NJ and the PA concerts. I think the Newark concert is a fundraising benefit for Multiple Sclerosis, so I probably won't be able to afford tix. I have no information at all about PA concert.. but since it's November 3 it'd be a nice birthday present (my birthday is the 20th of November), so I'm crossing my fingers on that one.

Opening Gala with Bernadette Peters Sponsored by the DaimerlChrysler Corporation, the gala begins with cocktails and dinner at 5:30 p.m. in the Orchestra Place courtyard. The evening's concert begins at 9 p.m. and features the DSO, lead by Resident Conductor Thomas Wilkins, and Broadway star Bernadette Peters singing songs from some of today's most popular musicals.
A limited number of concert-only tickets are available to the public. For tickets, call the Orchestra Hall Box Office after August 27 at (313) 576-5111. For gala information, call (313) 576-5147.
