She was already old in 1962, so I'm assuming she took that name long before Mary Martin became famous on Broadway. My fifth-grade teacher was named Sister Bernadette Joseph (affectionately known to us as Bernie Jo).

| posted: 4/12/2005 at 10:51:48 AM ET You may want to be a little careful who you tell that to. Since there really is a Saint Bernadette, they might really think you are traveling around looking for sightings of her. Of course I think you would have to go to France for that.
