Fav. BP Show: Gypsy Fav. BP Song: Unexpected Song
| posted: 3/27/2005 at 1:57:23 PM ET For those of you who are going to the reception, how dressed up are you getting? I mean, I know no one will be wearing prom gowns or anything, but just how dressed up do you think is appropriate?

From: NYC | posted: 3/27/2005 at 2:00:29 PM ET PA Fan is wearing her lime chiffon and I'm wearing the little white number if Bernadette returns it to me in time.
LOL. I'm wearing a skirt - I think something you'd wear to church or an afternoon wedding is appropriate enough.
By this time in ONE WEEK, we will be getting ready to go into Symphony Hall!

From: NYC | posted: 3/30/2005 at 1:16:17 PM ET Okay - I have some restaurant suggestions from my Boston office colleagues:
"If we walk down Huntington(on the same side as and walking away from Symphony Hall) there are a whole row of restaurants with everything from ethnic to pizza. Brasserie Jo is a few blocks down Huntington. It's like a French bistro, but may be a little pricy. I think that they have a website. There is a Cheesecake Factory across the street from Brasserie Jo and a legal seafood in the Copley Plaza and Prudential Center, which are also right there. There is also a soul food place a couple of blocks down MA Ave called Bob the Chef's."
And then
"Clairmont cafe - Bank on it"
So we have options. If you're definitely staying for dinner, let me know so we can decide on a definite place and whether we'll need a reservation depending on the size of the group.
Or maybe Bernadette will invite us all back to her place.

From: Maryland | posted: 3/30/2005 at 3:18:33 PM ET Okay, I live in Boston, so I'll just add to the discussion. The Cheesecake Factory and Legal Seafood are both in the Prudential Center. And as Sister Rose said, Brasserie Jo is right across the street from the Cheesecake Factory. I haven't eaten at Brasserie Jo, but it looks nice from the outside.
I've eaten at both Legal Seafood and the Cheesecake Factory; both are nice places, and Cheesecake Factory is probably a really good place to go if there are a bunch of people going because it's got a pretty diverse menu. However, these places are also usually very crowded, and even on a Sunday afternoon/evening, there's going to be a wait. And I don't know if they take reservations....
Never been to Bob the Chef's, though. Where on Mass Ave is it?

Cheesecake Factory, at least in Baltimore and Ft. Lauderdale, doesn't.
Why am I involved in this?

But have fun! And I'm with Jean - details, details, details please!
