Fever was incredible. I think one of the best...but of course, you can't beat Move On and Alive. But the whole show was brilliant--I think even if I hadn't seen her afterwards I would have been satisfied just after watching her perform.

How adorable is that?!

Only 20 days, 11 hours and 45 minutes or 491 hours and 45 minutes until the Boston concert starts...depending on your sleeping habits, that's only about 300 or so hours awake!

Drama Kid we were probably waiting outside together and didn't even know it. Where you there on Fri? What did you ask Bernadette to sign?

Registered: 6/26/2003 | posted: 3/14/2005 at 12:24:53 AM ET Fever was one of the highlights for me as well. I'm curious now to hear Lee's version because I really liked the arrangement Bernadette used -- just a little piano and bass intro, with the finger snapping of course, and then just bass and drums. And she sings the song in the smokiest, sultriest part of her voice. I hope you all get a chance to see her do that number one day.
The program had a funny typo in Bernadette's bio saying that she won her awards for AGYG in 1889 and the bio seemed out of date with no mention of Gypsy or the R&H CD.
Jean- Before she sang Berlin's Count Your Blessings(Is that the correct title?), she said somewhat regrettfully that she hadn't sung anything from AGYG but that it wasn't because she didn't love Berlin. I really liked Moonshine Lullaby when she sang that one time, but maybe she only does that number when she has backup guys.

The tempo for the Gentleman is a Dope seemed much brisker than on the CD and I'm pretty sure last night she sang "him" instead of "her" during that gorgeous performance of Some Enchanted Evening. I know she definitely sang "him" the last couple of times and I think she ended the song on a higher note than she does on the CD. It was one of those shimmering achingly beauiful notes she's capable of producing.
And for those curious about the proposal. She last performed at the McCallum Jan. 19, 20 1996

I'm seriously considering selling one of my kidneys on the black market to buy myself a plane ticket and a seat in one of the concerts (I'm from Australia). You can survive quite well on one kidney, right? Lol. I love reading all your reports- thanks for allowing the people who can't see Bernadette perform to live vicariously through you! Does anyone know if there will be a CD or DVD (or both) of this tour released?

In summer 2004, Bernadette told Playbill that she is working on another volume of the Carnegie Hall concert recording. We've been expecting it for months.

With any luck she'll decide to visit us Aussies eventually- I know she did years ago, but that was before I became a fan. It's frustrating here, because I haven't met a single person who knows who Bernadette is- anytime I want to discuss her work I have to explain who she is, and then no one ever really seems interested. That's why I love this site . Have fun in Boston!
