Just to throw this in since we were talking about it here...Tonight on 2004 Most Intriguing People Barabara Walters did apporach the subject of motherhood with Oprah who turned 50 and is obviously beyond her child bearing age.
I do think, though, that fans should be careful of what they ask of celebrities and try to think what it would feel like if one day you woke up with an email in your inbox from a total stranger asking what your favorite food was. Would you respond?

I sincerely hope that is not the case. This site is for those of us who think Bernadette Peters is "Broadway's Best," and best in whole lot of other ways too. Miss Ashley shows excellent taste at her young age, and I don't think anyone here wants to discourage that. Nor is there the thought that her question was in any manner malicious, as some lurkers are. The fans on this site love Bernadette, and respect her both as entertainer and person, and seek to protect her privacy because she isn't like a lot of the celebs that take up space in the news (and I'm feel sure Ms. Peters would recognize a 14-year-old's joy and exciting and not be too offended).
Life is learning. I've got a few decades on Ashley and am still figuring people out. If you're still out there, Ashley, don't worry about it and join in the chat. There is good reason for you to think Bernadette Peters is wonderful, and you can learn a lot here about her and why she is so special. 
And, dang, I'm sorry I missed her on Dr. Phil!!

Well, I've never done it, but here's how it should work. It doesn't matter whether you use high or low bandwidth--just pick one. Once you're on the home page, click on "message board" on the right hand menu. Then select "Ask Bernadette." On that page, there's a row of boxes on top. Click on the second from the left, labelled "new." A drop-down menu will appear. Click on the topic "discussion," and the box where you enter your subject and question will appear. Once you've written those, just hit the "post now" button. That should do it. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Ashley,
I think it is so mature of you to still keep posting on this board after all of the responses you've gotten. Its hard to hear stuff like that.
At your age I would have been offended and angry and probably not posted here again. Instead you're taking the good advice and learning from it. That shows what a thoughtful, mature, and gracious young lady that you are. I'm proud of you. I look forward to seeing you post more!

When I try it, it's blank for only a second or two, with a message saying to wait for processing. It's practically instantaneous. Maybe if you have a dial-up connection, it takes longer to load. I suggest just being patient and waiting a bit. Other than that, I don't know what the problem might be.

Oh,Karen, I know it takes awhile to load{I have a dial-up connection}, but I don't hear the computer running it! What will I do now?! Please reply soon!

wow, people are sure starting to be reall kind to younger posters. I was 14 when i started posting here and i believe I received a LOT of grief. Glad to see the turn over of posters since 2002 give younger posters the benefit of the doubt. Oh and Ashley, her voice is different in those roles because she is doing a french accent.
