Just letting all of you know that I, Vallerie Paulin, will be singing the infamous song "Making Love Alone" at our Guerilla Theatre this Saturday night. As I'm sure that none of you guys are close enough to Tuscaloosa, Alabama I won't ask anyone to come. But it's going to be great fun!

"Tuscaloosa's Calling Me...but I'm not going."

Really wish that I could, though. Break a leg!

That is soooo freakin' cool. What kind of accompanyment will you have? Piano? A jazz trio perhaps?

I can just see the Tuscaloosa headlines: "YOUNG SINGER SCANDALIZES LOCALS WITH RENDITION OF SONG OF SPECIAL LOVE"

I love it!

I sang this for my encore during my undergraduate senior recital last April...it was a hoot!!!! A lot of my friends loved it and some people weren't too crazy about it, but I thought it was fabulous anyways-and so did my voice teacher--she just performed it in a cabaret too. Maybe sometime I'll post a link so you all can hear my rendition. lol

Hey yeah do that! My voice teacher loves it too. She is so awesome that I drive an hour away just to take lessons from her. I'll see what I can do about making a recording. Last year we had a girl sing "At the Vatican" from Nine in nothing but a sheet. It was bold. This is going to be even better!

I found it at a website based out of London...they send it in PDF format. I just typed in MAKING LOVE ALONE in a search engine and was lucky enough to find it. I don't know how legal it is, but that's where I got it. They can send it to you in whatever key you prefer.

I know a guy that has tons of music and he just happened to have it. I've also heard that you can write to the writers of the song and find it.
