I was having a hard time figuring out how she could possibly record anything now since I'm sure she needs vocal rest from Gypsy. The article says they'll publish a full interview with her on Friday. Happiness!

Did she sing the SNL song at Carnegie Hall??
That's the one I want (most of the others listed in the article are on the London DVD).
I'll bet there will be more of her talking too.
Made my day!!

| posted: 7/7/2004 at 12:02:14 PM ET Yes, she sang Making Love Alone at Carnegie Hall but that was released on the 1st CD. It was later removed from all new copies because of, I believe, rights issues. So I'm sorry to say you more than likely will not be seeing it on this new CD. I wish they would just put it back on the first CD.

Registered: 6/26/2003 | posted: 7/7/2004 at 1:32:13 PM ET I think she should take the Sue Grafton approach to recording and just work her way alphabetically through the various composers and lyricists. Her first album in the series could feature the songs of Harlod Arlen and Peter Allen, then the next one could have songs by Bock, Berlin, and Bernstein, then Cohan, Coleman, Comden, Carmines, Dietz, Duke, Ebb, Friml, Gershwin, and on and on.

From: NYC | posted: 7/7/2004 at 1:35:03 PM ET And wouldn't it be the best if she would get a regular cabaret gig here in NY? I know that Bobby Short is leaving his gig at the Carlisle so his spot will be open - she would totally bring down the house! If it were up to us, she would be performing non-stop!

If anyone has seen the last two tours Bernadette has done, you know how riveting the overture is that leads to her entrance and I think it's a shame that they have never been recorded.

On another note, I heard that Bernadette's performance at Radio City Music Hall (R&H) was recorded. Has anyone heard if it is going to be released to the public?

From: Toronto | posted: 7/7/2004 at 6:07:59 PM ET Hi! I haven't posted in a while but I had a thought.
I think that if she's releasing "have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" on the the new CD, they I'm sure a X-mas album is in the works. She's probably warming everyone up with the one song so that the album is more anticipated.
Just my two cents, I could be totally wrong
You either got it, or you aint!

Registered: 6/11/2002 | posted: 7/8/2004 at 9:19:17 PM ET Just wanted to let everyone know that I received an e-mail from playbill online's Andrew Gans today. I dropped him a note and asked about the overture being included in the upcoming CD. He, in turn, e-mailed the album's producer with the question.
This afternoon, I got a response from Mr. Gans saying that the producer said the overture "will indeed be included"!
