LaCageAuxBoy, that's just what it felt like. I wanted to say that, but didn't dare, didn't have the nerve. Driving away that evening, that was the feeling I was experiencing, like I was leaving behind good friends.
Thanks for expressing that.

From: Boston | posted: 6/1/2004 at 3:09:12 PM ET oh Laurents wasn't there Bliss? LaCageAuxBoy and I were almost certain we saw him in Shubert Alley and then in 4th row center on the aisle, opposite of Sondheim.
The cast made a softball team? Thats wonderful!!
Thanks again!

| posted: 6/1/2004 at 3:23:05 PM ET I think Bliss is actually talking about the Broadway Show League. Almost all of the shows have a team or combine into a team. Some of the teams stick together and play in the tournaments long after their shows close - I think there are still some folks left from The Goodbye Girl!

From: Toronto | posted: 6/1/2004 at 5:39:44 PM ET I just wanted to say that is was great meeting some of you on Sunday. Unfortunately, I totally missed others who I really wanted to meet!
I can't begin to explain how glad I am that I decided to come to the city a week early to see this final performance. I was truly moved and inspired! I will really miss the people in the production, even though I don't really know them!! Go figure!
I guess now I have to wait to catch Bernadette in concert in Toronto!
Congratulations to the whole cast.....this summer won't be the same without you!
You either got it, or you aint!

Thanks for all of your posts over the past year! It's been great to hear from someone connected to the show. Now, I am sorry that I didn't stop you when you walked right past me on stage after last Wednesday's matinee. I wanted to say something but my nerves got the best of me. Hopefully, if I ever do happen to run into you again, I will not be quite as nervous and will be able to at least muster up a "hello and thanks for a GREAT run!" Can't wait to see what you are in next. Please keep us all posted.

| posted: 6/2/2004 at 11:25:18 PM ET Yeah, I didn't see Arthur Laurents there, which is why I thought it was strange that someone said they saw him. I was sitting next to Sondheim, and Laurents was nowhere in sight.
I've never met the man (though he was next to me on opening night. I sense a Gypsy trend with these creators. lol); but I've heard not nice things about him.
