PBS is my refuge, my strength -- as it were.
No cut on PBS was intended. It was the split show thingy. I thought they did it for two years, actually, and seems like there was overlap or some such. Whatever, I thought it was messy.
Perhaps we should take a positive note and think of all who will NOT be presenting or singing. No JLo or Britney. 
(I don't quite loathe her, but I do intend to boo loudly at the tube when Marissa comes out. BP was robbed!!! Sorry. Some old wounds never heal. )

This all reminds me that I have a video tape of Bernadette's appearance on PBS with the Boston Pops from the mid 1980's that I haven't looked at in ages. I think I shall pull that out of the archives this weekend!

I am disgusted at having Mr. Jackman hosting again. He was only mediocre last year (following a year where Ms. Peters hosted with none other than the late and great Mr. Greggory Hines). But it's better than sitting through another year with Rosie O'Donnell or Nathan Lane. I think they should have gone with someone like Kristen Chenoweth (eww... i said it) or maybe an old favorite like Jerry Orbach or Angela Lansbury. But ratings are ratings. As far as Nicole Kidman is concerned... yes gross, but it's probably going to be involving her involvement in THE PRODUCERS on film next year. And P. Diddy... well... just get ready for the next revival's Mama Rose... Ms. Fantasia Barrino!

Sunday June 6th. I think they're almost always held the first Sunday in June.
