Today on ebay, someone from the Azerbaijan Republic with zero feedback, put up for auction a lot of 20 photos of Bernadette Peters. They're a mix of stills and candids most of which I've seen before, but two of them she's not even in: no.11 is from the TV production of Dames at Sea and no.12 is of some young woman(actress?)definitely not Bernadette. But Azerbaijan? What's that all about? I've never even seen a seller from that part of the world on ebay.

just because they are from a different part of the world doesn't mean that their auction is any different.

This isn't going to add much, butI recently read an article (of course, I can't remember from what) that talked about how some fake sellers are using/listing former soviet countries as locations to scam buyers into giving their payment information. The article also talked about how there is a group of freelance e-bay watchers who try to warn folks about these guys. I can't say that's what this item/seller is all about, but any buyer should be aware.

I didn't mean to slight other regions of the world, but this seller has no feedback and takes only credit card payments. Other international sellers I've dealt with always accept checks or money orders. So buyer beware. It doesn't look right to me.

Be very careful about such auctions. This is a very common technique used by ID/credit thieves.
