It is a great charity. Anyone here who feels compelled by this should volunteer at your local animal shelters as well. Our shelter in our town could not get by without the generous work of volunteers, and I am sure that most other shelters are in the same situation. It is not easy work, but if you care about these animals, it can be very rewarding. There are difficult times but the happy endings are very much worth it.

From Internet Network: 65.179.112.x | posted: 4/24/2004 at 12:26:20 PM ET There was a previous post from someone connected with B-Way Barks asking folks if they wish to be boosters. Now, there is the super e-bay item for bidding. Will the money from both go directly to B-Way Barks or through other groups?

Registered: 11/6/2003 | posted: 4/25/2004 at 3:53:48 PM ET A couple of questions regarding previous posts on a group bid for the BP e-bay item.....
1. Is this still a possibility -- enough folks interested?
2. How will it work? If a group of us decide to do this and win (!) how will the tangible items (seats and the poster) be divided? Most importantly, will more than the folks with the tickets be able to go backstage for the stage tour & the poster presentation by BP?
3. If won, will folks be able to come up with a common date to go?
I'm still interesting in doing a "group merger." What are everyone's thoughts?

1.I defiently think its a possiblity. Karen, Jean, myself and you are willing to contribute. Besides that, I'm sure we can round up a few more people.
2. We could have someone head it up and as soon as possible put a bid of $1,001 up on ebay. After that, the others will repay teh person through cash or check (paypal is too hard).
3. Anyone interested PM me with dates available. Keep in mind: Tues-Thurs evenings or Wednesday matinees ONLY. Also, personally i already have a signed poster so I don't need it. Besides that, the earrings can be given to someone who really wants them. I'm cool with whatever.
Lets make it happen!!!!

| posted: 4/25/2004 at 4:36:41 PM ET I think what PA Fan means is...is it literally possible? Usually with this type of package you get 2 tickets to the show, and 1 (maybe 2) signed posters.
They may not offer you 10 tickets and posters, and therefore 8 people would be up the creek without a paddle.
If I were you I would email the seller and ask.

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 4/25/2004 at 5:13:53 PM ET My guess is that two people could get the tickets, a third the pin, and a fourth the poster. Then, if they're really nice about it, maybe those four people and a few extra could go on the tour. But Christine is right, you'd have to check with the show to know for sure what they will allow.

| posted: 4/25/2004 at 5:19:15 PM ET I just wanted to add that i did email Patty today and she responded by saying that all that contribute can go backstage. She did stress that only two tickets are given so others that want to buy tickets can. Also the poster and earrings can go to the person who wants them the most! Personally, i'm flexible and willing to give others that joy considering i already have a poster signed by all of the cast. Anyways, anyone interested please PM either PA fan or myself.

But the middle of the week would be difficult, and besides, I'm up to my eyeballs in debt after trips to see Gypsy in the past year, including the last show May 30.
Good luck to you all who can contribute. Hope it works out for you and you win it.
