Hi All,
Just got back to MD from the matinee today. Bernadette was amazing as usual...a few changes since I was there last in February. John was out as was Baby June. I wasn't a huge fan of the understudy for Herbie...he was very different from John. Bliss was wonderful as well. I actually had front row center orchestra seats and they were great. You could see everything and I was basically right behind Marvin Laird's post.

Just thought I would pass along the info!

Does anyone know why John has been out? I really like him. He and Bernadette have great chemistry.

Mandy, I gotta ask...did you find yourself mesmerized by Marvin during the overture? Whenever I sit in or near the front row, I cannot help but watch him conduct.
lol I know, I'm such a dork.

Yes, I was quite impressed with him. He was SO close I honestly could have reached out and touched his back. He does an amazing job with the orchestra who are wonderful in their own right. It was just really neat to be so close to everything...especially since I think it was the last time I will be able to see the show. I was glad to end my "viewings" of it though in the perfect seat....I just wish John had been there today!
