In all, it sounds like fun so count me in.

Not for throwing at the stage, of course.
But eating them for lunch outside before the show.
Roses thrown on the stage after 'Rose's Turn' would be awkward, and break up the performance (the likely thunderous standing Os will be enuf there, anyway). And, besides, I doubt I'd be able to see through the tears....
But when the backdrop lifts and Bernadette walks out for the last time...oh, my. My stomach knots up just thinking about that moment.
I would think that, then, people could walk up and toss roses onto the stage -- downstage, not at her.
Hey, I'd be happy to toss one for Jean (what color?)

From: Brooklyn, NY | posted: 4/24/2004 at 3:33:30 AM ET I didn't think people would be rushing down the aisle to throw roses at the stage. In the middle of the show!!! Maybe I am just living in a Lifetime movie where this stuff usually happens. Ok, bad idea. I would say we could give them to her at the stage door, but I would imagine the cast will be staying a while after the show, so that probably won't do either. Oh well... maybe we could just give her a lot of applause! :-P

From: northern VA | posted: 4/24/2004 at 6:06:23 PM ET Well,Brandon, people will occasionally throw roses (and stuffed animals) at figure skating events (exhibitions more so than competitions). They have local little girls skate out and collect them. That's about the only place where I've seen something like that happen.

Much more ethical... and probably less distracting and dangerous. I say a lot of dumb thing without thinking So... lets MOVE ON...

From: northern VA | posted: 4/24/2004 at 10:32:25 PM ET Brandon, hon,no need to feel embarrassed. It was a darling and innocent suggestion. It's just that in this age and time, probably not feasible. I'm sorry I made you feel bad-that wasn't my intention at all! Sometimes I kid and I forget that on the Internet, that's not always apparent.
BTW-an unsolicited movie review. We just got back from seeing 13 Going on 30. A nice, silly movie. Jennifer Garner is too cute. Some guys may not understand the 80s trends,as was made clear to the women tonight. I guess it's one of those "had to be there" kind of deals. I didn't have a traumatic teenhood, but still wouldn't want to go back to being 13! I wouldn't even want to go back to being an undergrad.
