"KRISTIN CHENOWETH will leave her acclaimed role in Broadway's "Wicked" on July 18. Upcoming on her plate is "Candide" at Lincoln Center, a Sept. 10 Carnegie Hall stint, and an independent movie titled "Asphalt Beach." And in 2006, she will star in the L.A. Opera's original production of "Alice in Wonderland." "

From: New York City | posted: 12/4/2004 at 2:23:59 AM ET AH, Candide. Fun times. That was the night I hit Patti LuPone on the ass with a camera. (I did. Long story.)
Anyway. I LOVED Candide. Did I have any idea what was going on in the plot? Not a clue. People died, came back to life, died again, came back to life... why? No idea. But man, was it funny! And the chorus was AMAZING. Also, it's impossible (IMO) to NOT be moved by the finale, Make My Garden Grow. So beautiful.

From: New York City | posted: 12/5/2004 at 9:25:30 PM ET Very much an accident. Champagne went one way (I was trying to get a few friends together for a picture, and I was also holding a champagne flute) and my camera went the other. It just so happens Patti LuPone was standing a few feet away with her (son? I think?) and some other people. My camera is what hit her. Right in the ass. I was so embarrassed (humiliated is probably the better word--especially since I wasn't even drunk!) and ran for napkins so I missed her immediate reaction, but apparently she was very amused. My friends told me she was laughing. And for the rest of the night, all I heard was, "Is there anything ELSE you would like to throw at Patti LuPone?"

From: Bradenton/Sarasota, FLA | posted: 1/7/2005 at 9:14:01 AM ET The PBS' "Great Performances" of "Candide" with Chenoweth is scheduled for next Wednesday, Jan. 12, according to local TV listing.
Story says she was going to Texas for Thanx with parents, but got bronchitis.
Rumor is she may become the press secretary on "West Wing"; she says "they're grooming me for something big, but they're making me keep my mouth shut."
She's the title voice in Disney's "Rapunzel" (2006 or 2007), will be in "The Pink Panther" with Steve Martin, and Nora Ephron's "Bewitched" ("the most sheer fun I've ever had on any production"), short NY run of "The Apple Tree" in May, and thens starts "offbeat movie musical called 'Asphalt Beach.'"

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 1/14/2005 at 11:47:11 PM ET I'm surprised at the intensity of the negative reactions towards Chenoweth performing at the Inaugural. I was completely unprepared for how many people were going to react that vociferously. There have been calls to boycott everything she does and even to pressure potential employers not to hire her.
Wow, that's just not right. I'm not a Republican, and I vehemently disagree with their policies, but tolerance of political differences is essential to a healthy, functioning, pluralistic democracy. How did it ever come to this?

From: New York City | posted: 1/16/2005 at 1:57:18 AM ET Kristin is NOT NOT NOT performing at Bush's inaugural. She's performing at a bi-partisan event unrelated to the actual inaugural. Also, its tentatively scheduled for her.
The Post article (if that's where this info came from) is incorrect. For instance, if you'll notice, the article states that Kristin won a TONY award for WICKED (she did not.) This isn't the first time that the Post has printed erroneously (or erroneously biased) info.
