Plus, Jeff McCarthy is playing the Beast! I love him...though That is a huge age gap between him and Christy.
I've seen Beauty and the Beast twice already; but I will definitely have to catch Jeff in the role.

From: Dobson, NC | posted: 2/6/2004 at 8:46:59 PM ET As always, Disney puts someone in Disney related for their Broadway shows. We're just lucky it's not Hilary Duff, who has pretty mediocre singing and acting talent. Plus, no one wants a blonde Belle. Christy will do very well with the role, but no one can outdo Susan Egan who also played Meg on Hercules.

Registered: 3/14/2004 | posted: 6/16/2004 at 4:55:37 PM ET I caught Christy Carlson Romano in Beauty and the Beast in late May, she's got a lot of stage presence, but she definatly belongs back on TELEVISION.....She struggled A LOT with her singing and her acting was filled with too many gestures aka (OVERACTRESS). But she does look cute in the belle wig and costume and she does play very well to the audience and with the cast as well.......but I think a short run will be just enough to add to the resume....I'm curious though.....how long do you all think B&TB will run????

I haven't seen it yet, but, i'm not sure i want to. Everyone that I've talked to has said that she Overracted and stuggled with her voice and it wasn't worth going. So there's my two "sense"

From: Texas | posted: 6/16/2004 at 10:11:25 PM ET I've seen a broadway show. Actually I've seen many. I didn't like Lion King to tell you the truth. And I'm not quite fond of the movie Beauty and The Beast. It just wouldn't be my first, or second, or third, or even tenth choice to see on broadway.
