From: NYC | posted: 6/17/2004 at 10:58:35 AM ET Christy Carlson Romano sang "The Trolley Song" and "Summer Nights" on Monday night at Broadway Under the Stars. She hit a few clunkers in "Summer Nights" but she did decent justice to "The Trolley Song". I think its natural that as a Disney Channel "star" that Disney wanted capitalize on her popularity with little girls to get them to see "Beauty and the Beast". I took my little sister to see it last summer - can't remember who was in it - and she loved it. I hated it. It was a horrible production, unworthy of Broadway. I don't really think Disney cares if they continue to make money on it. On the other hand, I think "The Lion King" is a terrific production - the costumes are fantasic.

From: Texas | posted: 6/17/2004 at 7:53:26 PM ET I personally liked AIDA the best of the disney productions. It had great costumes, good actors, catchy music (i actually ended up winning a dance competition with the song "Strongest Suit.") And I met the actress who played Amneris that night - actually on the subway - odd, but yeah. I just like I don't know, the more, I don't even know hoe to explain them or put them into category...I like, like, Gypsy, Chicago, 42nd Street, Wicked, Ave. Q, Wonderful Town, etc. But, I don't know why, But i didn't like Hairspray - not sure why, just didn't strike me i guess. I mean, it was a good show, but i just didn't like it. haha - now i'm rambling. later ya'll

The songs were poorly written,(which REALLY makes me wonder about Sir Elton), The dancing just looked like a big free for all, the orchestra was way too loud and the atmosphere said "it's okay to take a nap..." (to me at least)....

From: Texas | posted: 6/18/2004 at 1:48:22 AM ET and see theres the difference i guess between us. haha...i dunno - it was just eye pleasing to me. And I knew about the dance routine that i was going to. And The dancing was actualy very techincal beleive it or not. Now when i went to see it, the orchestra wasn't loud at all, but that was two Thanksgivings ago - so it was a while back.
