I was just wondering what are good audition songs for an alto?
I'm not trying out for anything now, I just think it would be nice to know.

It depends on what type of song that you need... If you want a nice, slow ballad, try "I Remember" by Sondheim (Evening Primrose) or the lullaby song from "Peter Pan" (can't remember the name of it... Peter's the one that sings it). If you want something upbeat and fun, I would say... "That Mister Man of Mine" (Dames at Sea), "Whatever Lola Wants" (Damn Yankees), and "You Can't Get a Man With a Gun" (Annie, Get Your Gun!) are all good ones, though pretty commonly known. And if you want something that is crazy hard and impressive, go for "Worst Pies in London" from Sondheim's Sweeney Todd!!!

"I don't care about losing the money... it's losing all the stuff..."
