I know a few people from the board were going to see this show and report back. What happened? I hope the directors didn't mess up this wonderful show! It played here in Buffalo many years ago, and it was excellent in every way, and I consider it among the best musicals ever!

Chip1012, PA Fan and I all saw La Cage on the 12th. I loved it! It was a very fun show - I thought Daniel Davis was great and Gary Beach was phenomenal. There are some awkward scenes that should just be cut, but overall, it's fantastic. The all-male chorus is especially incredible and the choreography is thrilling. Before the show, we were hanging out in the box office. I was explaining Daniel Davis' role in "The Nanny" to PA Fan when Chip started tugging on my shirt - Daniel was in the box office! He came over and talked to us and was very nice. After the show we went to the stage door and saw him again and also got autographs from several cast members. Gavin Creel ("Thoroughly Modern Millie") was acting crazy and actually ran over and picked up Chip. It was nuts! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera ready to record that moment. Also, Chip commanded Joey Dudding to come talk to us - Joey was as farmboy in "Gypsy"!

It's not a new story, but it was very enjoyable. The audience was really into it. I will definitely be spending money on this show again.
