From: washington, dc | posted: 9/4/2004 at 1:25:49 PM ET i didn't like mel b in rent anyways. at times she was good, but on like half of her songs she was flat. and i mean i loved the spice girls too man so i woul dbe inclined to enjoy her performance but i thought she was the weakest member of the cast by far.
damn, she's cool.

i completely agree with you.
I was a huge fan of the Spice Girls as well as a little teeni-bopper and I really didn't enjoy her performance. Her singing was verryyyy flat and her acting was not very strong either. I had seen her on her first or second night on stage and she seemed very poorly cast. It was definitely to boost sales because she was a very weak performer that night.
but i DID love RENT anyways just cause it was soooo funny and musically awesome.

From: washington, dc | posted: 9/4/2004 at 9:08:50 PM ET yeah, it was still a good time, but during the show at some points i was thinking...i'd rather have her singing spice up your life with sporty, posh, baby, and ginger...ah the spice girls, mos def the best singing group of all time, surpassing even the beatles and nsync.
damn, she's cool.
