I'm probably considered insane for this... but I have over 400 cast recording CDs. I actually had to buy this huge bookshelf type thing just for them and have a database so I know what I have  Do the rest of you collect them?

Wow! That is amazing. I probably have no more than 15. Although, I only live off my weekly allowance. I just got Song and Dance off E Bay. That C.D. is really good. Everyone should get it.

Well...um...maybe it's too early for me to post this since the first show that I've ever seen was 'Rent' (which I just saw over the summer here @ the Ordway)...but yeah..I am planning on burning a copy of the Rent cd, and I have a copy of AGYG, and I have the Les Miz 10th Anniversary London Concert--omg that's awesome!!! ...
But yeah, that's all I have thus far. I will expand my collection soon! LOL

Oh, I love Rent! I have that cast CD, along w/ a few others. I only have like 5 B'way cast recording CDs....usually when I see a show, I'll get the CD.

um...i got like 15 or 20 (depending on if you count the solo cd's, like bernadette's and barbra streisand's (dont shoot me! LoL i still like bernadette better! )

Well, I certainly don't have 400, but I have a decent amount. Some of my favorites are: 42nd Street, The Goodbye Girl, Song & Dance, Into the Woods (original cast), Chicago, and of course Annie Get Your Gun. Gypsy will be once it's recorded LOL I already love the movie (Bette version) soundtrack!
I have a lot more solo recordings and movie soundtracks, than I do Cast Recordings (LOL I even have the soundtrack to that Barnie movie just because Bernadette sings the main song on it); and Christa, don't feel bad about being a Barbra Streisand fan...because you know I'm one too. I have all of Bernadette's cd's and almost all of Barbra's.

well I have about 5 or 6 or 7 or 8...lol im too lazy to go upstairs and count!! but I also have a bunch of cd's that I have compiled on my own off of Kazaa...that are broadway stuff...so if that counts...

i have two versions of into the woods. one with venessa williams and the other with bernadette peters and the orginal cast. i have the orginal cats on cd and old fashion disk. West side story on cd with the cast from the movie and the orginal cast album on disk. DR. Jekel and Mr. Hyde. Les Miserable the orignal recording and the extended recording. Mama Mia. 1776, 42 Second Street. Mack and Mable. Me and My Girl. Sound of Music. Amadeuse. Joseph and the Amazing Techni-Color Dream Coat. A collection of different Andwer Llyod Weber musicals. Donny Osman's broadway cd Thhis is the Moment. River Dance, Lion King, Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames, King and I. Foot Loose. Chicago recording form London. Rags. Juile Andwers broadway cd.
I have more but right now i cant think of any moe and i am not were i can see my cd collection.

i probably have about 70...but half of them are my dad's. but i listen to them more than he does! my longtime faves are Fiddler on the Roof, Les Mis...haha i have 3 different ones, and INTO THE WOODS...2 of these. But, at the moment, my favorites are A Chorus line and Song and dance...but that changes daily...so ok whatever. haha.

I would say that I have about 150 cast albums. Including just about ever Sondheim show (musical theatre essentials), also some I burned from friends or library. Some shows I have multiple casts of. Like 2 casts of Company, 3 of Into the Woods, as of 8/19 I will have 4 of Gypsy, and 2 of Sunset Boulevard.

i have somewhere in between thirty and fifty! of course some of them belong to mother(who has more than a hundred i would bet on it) but i have a nice little collection of recordings as well! i love just going to the store and looking under the cast recordings and buying cds to musicals i have never even heard of! its fun plus i get to know alot more music than i would never have even dreamed was out there!

I have around 75 cast recordings!! Surely not as many as you Kevin...haha....one of my mom's friends husband has around 650...it is insane!!! I love to look through all of them

I'm not really sure how many CDs and records I have but I've bought the recording of every show I've seen since 1973 and I have the Playbills as well. But I'm not obsessive or anything... :-)
