Some of these are so *very* true.
I've had some down days of late, and my Sammie has been there jumping up and down whenever I walk in the door, sitting beside me and licking my face when I cried, sharing the joys of just running free outdoors and playing tug-a-war with his chewbone.
I have two photos, one at home and one at work, of my last dog Travis at the beach, which I'm certain was his favorite place to be. I have on the photos a favorite saying about life written by a dog-loving photographer/poet:
"There are some simple truths, and the dogs know what they are."
