They're so addictive. lol I mean, Lifetime movies (or any made-for-tv movies) are so cheesy, and yet I can watch them all day long. In fact, once or twice I have speant entire days watching them.
I just finished watching Best Friends For Life. lol Even the title is so sappy. Linda Lavin was in it, and I just think she is a fantastick actress. The script was aweful, but of course it's a best friends movie where people pass away (hi, no wonder I love Beaches), and so I was sitting on my couch bawling like a baby.

What are some favorites of people here. And don't lie lol I know some of you must watch them.
Mine are:
A Will of Their Own (ooo that's a 4 hour one)
A Face To Die For
Batteling For Baby
Road Rage
David (Yay! lol that's a Bernadette one)
The Face On the Milk Carton
Invisible Child
The Last Best Year (lol Another Bernadette classic)
An Unexpected Family
An Unexpected Life
Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story
Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows

My favorites in the genre are Money on the Side, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Karen Valentine (among others) as suburban housewives who moonlight as call girls; The Stepford Children, with Barbara Eden; and absolutely anything with Valerie Bertinelli (my gal Val).

I dont get into them very often, but definatly Me and My Shadows (Tammy is a knock out!!!) and I guess my other is Gracie's Choice......that one just has a good message to it. I love stories where the underdog comes out on top..........THATS WHY I LOVE the musical 42nd Street!!!!

I like The Face On The Milk Carton, Holiday In Your Heart (if that counts in this category) and The Last Best Year.

ooo I totally forgot about Holiday In Your Heart. My favorite part is when they sing Crazy; and then learning the twist at the end of the movie. haha I can watch it bunch of times, and for some reason I always forget, so then I'm surprised again.

You guys forgot my favorite one!!! The LIZ Murray Story: Homeless to Harvard on Lifetime was sooooo good. I love Thora Birch so that was a plus and the story line and script is great. For some odd reason, I don't consider Me and My shadow in the catagory of TV movie because its soooo brillant. Lorna and others involved in the movie researched Judy's life in such detail and the script and acting is just AMAZING!!! Its defiently the BEST TV movie in the last few years.

I just thought of another one I love. I'm not sure if it fits in this category or not, but it was made for television. Carrie Fishers's TV movie "These Old Broads" with Debbie Reynolds, Shirley MacLaine, Joan Collins, and Liz Taylor. For some reason, it got scathingly bad reviews, but I thought it accomplished exactly what it set out to do, which was to be an utterly hilarious and outrageous camp classic. I find it very tongue-in-cheek and very entertaining.

I would always watch the Kate Jackson ones. She did quite a few - too many to begin naming. I actually just worked on a Lifetime show as a make-up artist assistant. Has anyone here seen "Strong Medicine"? That's the show

Oh my God, Kate Jackson. Her TV movies are great. The one I remember best is Empty Cradle, where she played a demented nurse-midwife who keeps faking her own pregnancies, while stealing her patients' babies and claiming they died. It was over-the-top trash--extremely satisfying.

ah liftime movies. has anyone seen the thing on the ellen show where she plays a game called "lifetime movie or not" and has ridiculous titles of movies? in the end most of them are real lifetime movies which makes the game even more interesting.

damn, she's cool.

I remember The Face on the Milk Carton. I remember Kellie Martin in another Lifetime movie-the one where she kills the cheerleader?

They showed Mary Jane Harper Cried Last Night several years ago, which I thought was well done, actually.

I remember Alex:The Life of a Child, but I don't know if Lifetime ever showed that. Frank Deford recently expanded the book-added pictures and an afterword.

And then the one about the two girls switched at birth, and they don't find out until one of the girls dies from a heart disease... but that was a true story-I remember when that story broke (I used to read my mother's Good Housekeeping and Reader's Digest.).

There was one about the Baby M case, and the one scene I remember was when Mary Beth was leaving with the baby and her older child, and they kept singing that "Sarah" song to the baby.

Was there one about Lisa Steinberg? You know her father just got released from jail.

Of course,I don't know if these were Lifetime movies or not. I'm sure they've been on Lifetime one time or another. You do know there's an entire Lifetime Movies channel?!

*hugs Christine*

You are a girl after my own heart and you know it! I love Holiday in Your Heart!!! The Face on the Milk Carton was one of my favorite books when it first came out.... Whatever Happened to Janie? was great as well and the movie is a mix of the two. I was slightly disappointed by the movie and how many things it lacked from the books. To me, it was the A Chorus Line the Movie of Lifetime movies! (if you can even call it a Lifetime movie... it was initially made for CBS! And it's remotely sad that I know that lol)

I'm completely addicted to the Lifetime movies, but lately I've found myself watching the movies on WE more than ever.... Watched a great one the other night called "The Cure" (yeah, I'm home sick so I've been watching a lot of TV).

And as for the Lifetime Movies channel... I don't get it!!!!! *cries*

*Hugs you back*
lol Your user name is so fitting for you.

I feel that any made-for-TV movie counts as a Lifetime movie after a certain amount of time.
lol I love how you can just compare everything to A Chorus Line, All That Jazz, or Chicago. hahaha

WE is a good station; and so is The Hallmark Channel.

Hahahaha I looooove how you knew it was me... and the name *is* fitting, given the amount of time I spend there (and everything else that I won't go into here!).

As for being able to compare anything to ACL, ATJ or Chicago.... what can I say? It's a gift
