A good majority of the cast will be there performing, but really, it will be mostly Idina. She's performing DEFYING GRAVITY, which is the act 1 finale. Kristin is in this song a bit as well, but I have no idea how much of the song they'll do (there are breaks for dialogue, etc) and/or whether they will be in costume (I'm assuming yes, if they're bringing everyone) and/or how much needs to be cut for time.

Also, LETTERMAN films around 6pm. The cast is then being jettisoned to the Gershwin theatre (good thing it's only down the street) because they have a 7pm show.

Q: Any funny incidents or accidents with Kristin (Chenoweth)?

Norbert Leo Butz: I have this Errol Flynn moment where I swing in on this rope. One night in San Francisco, I let go of the rope and the rest of the actors started cracking up. I turned around and the rope had literally tied around Kristin's head and got caught on her crown and was pulling her off stage. It was like watching Barbie get hung.

My word of the week is "Jettisoned." last week was "Flummoxed." And sometimes I use "Lollygagging" and "Befuddled" a lot. Oiye. I am so sad....

I did didn't get to see it, but go to this link and you will find 2 things....1) When Kristin performed Popular for The Todays Show, and then Idina in Defying Gravity for Letterman! The clips are a bit fuzzy, but they still look awesome to me!!!!!

Chip, you rock! Don't forget about Idina on the float in the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Sounds like it'll just be her alone, and I'm thinking if that's the case, she'll sing THE WIZARD AND I. But then, that's a guess.

Are you sure Idina will be on a float? I just saw the lineup of the parade and only Hairspray and Chicago are scheduled...odd since they aren't new this season.

It really is confusing to me, but it looks like both CBS and NBC will have Broadway shows--from playbill.com:

"The [CBS] broadcast, which airs from 9 AM to 12 noon ET (check local listings) Nov. 27, will include taped performances from a host of Broadway musicals. Nine's John Stamos, Mary Stuart Masterson, Rebecca Luker and Sarah Gettelfinger will perform "Only With You"; the company of Mamma Mia! will offer that show's finale, "Dancing Queen"; and the cast of the new Off-Broadway musical Fame on 42nd Street will sing the show's title song, "Fame." Members of the new Broadway revival of Wonderful Town will also tape a segment for broadcast."

NBC------
"Stars from Wicked and The Boy From Oz (without leading man Hugh Jackman), as well as two other shows soon to be announced, will offer songs during the annual event, which will be broadcast on NBC stations around the country from 9 AM to 12 noon, ET.

Playbill On-Line has also learned that the annual parade will feature Hairspray's Harvey Fierstein and the Dynamites performing an original composition entitled "Santa Knows." Tony winner Fierstein will be decked out in Edna drag in a holiday costume designed by William Ivey Long. "

And if I'm not confused enough, the Macy's site shows Chicago and Harvey Fierstein/Hairspray, Camp Broadway, but no other Broadway shows.

Well, it's certainly a set-the-tape day for me!

I already posted this in the off topic section (since technically that's where it belongs), but since this thread is here I will remind everyone that Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel will be on Theater Talk tonight at 12am.

Argh. UCF has but ONE VCR at her disposal, and REFUSES to run around like a beheaded chicken! So apparently, there will be different performances from the same parade airing at the same time on two different channels? That's a very, umm... schitzophrenic way of doing things.

To NBC and CBS: "I Hope you're happy now!!"

(Hopefully, WICKED fans got that one...)
