From Internet Network: 205.211.145.x | posted: 11/6/2003 at 11:06:28 AM ET she is on Friday, right? On the Today Show website they don't mention her or Mary Tyler Moore, who is also supposed to be on. They mention Sarah McLaughlin and someone else who's name I can't remember now.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7
7:00 A.M. ET - Sarah McLachlan performs
Actress Laura Linney talks about new movie, “Love Actually.” Singer Sarah McLachlan performs live on the Plaza as part of the “Woman Who Rock” Concert Series. Actress Zooey Deschanel talks about her new movie “Elf.”

That's the link to where I read it. Maybe they just didn't mention her there, because they onky mention 2 people, and it's a 2 hour show, so.....

From Internet Network: 172.135.236.x | posted: 11/6/2003 at 9:54:41 PM ET Okay, after watching that, let me just say, I am a fan and all, but both Bernadette and Mary Tyler Mooore have quite a bit of work done. Their faces look so TIGHT, it is scary. Why can't people just age naturally? Deny it all you want, but there is some mad plastic surgery going on with both those ladies.

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 11/7/2003 at 10:54:57 AM ET In her memoir Mary Tyler Moore admits to having had plastic surgery; she even tells an anecdote about one of her facelifts, so it's not a secret. As for Bernadette, it's all in the eye of the beholder I guess, but I don't see what you do. I know what you mean about "tightness". I see it all the time on many celebrities; that very tight, pulled back, immobile looking face. To me Bernadette just dosn't look that way--her face seems very mobile, with all the normal smile and laugh lines you would expect in someone her age. I think of her as a rare example of a beautiful woman who actually is allowing herself to age gracefully and naturally.

From: Canada | posted: 11/7/2003 at 11:02:15 AM ET It didn't look to me like she (Bernadette I mean) has ha anything done. I mean, she doesn't have that fake look to her face, and some people just age really well. She is a self-proclaimed health-nut, doesn't smoke, rarely drinks, avoids the sun, so it's no wonder that she still looks so good. But then again, I guess if she did, that's her perogative, right?
But, still I think she looks good for her age. It's not like she looks 20, or that she's trying to even, she has just aged very well.

If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything. There is such a thing as Constructive Criticism, and then there is pointless cruelty; and that anonymous post was certainly pointless and mean.

From: Bradenton/Sarasota, FLA | posted: 11/7/2003 at 11:59:10 AM ET I agree!! That's why newspapers do not print anonymous letters to the editor.
As a woman a little younger than Bernadette, I see her and wish I'd followed her health regimen, though being from South Florida made it difficult to avoid sun. And likely those Italian genes of hers (I think she joked once about growing up with lots of olive oil in the cooking) helped too. She looks terrific for mid-50s; she'd look terrific for the 40s compared to many people.
Moisturize! Moisturize! while you are young, girls.

I think if you watch "It Runs in the Family" it's clear that Berndaette hasn't had any "work" done. That is not meant as a negative. I simply mean that in the movie she is playing a role that is much closer to her real age. She doesn't seem to be wearing alot of makeup, but she plays her role well, and realistically looks like a married mom -- in her 40s or early 50s -- with two kids & a husband.

Registered: 7/24/2003 | posted: 11/7/2003 at 12:54:57 PM ET First of all I think that Bernadette looks gorgeous. I don't think she's had anything done, but the last post made me think of something also. Bernadette hasn't had children...that ages a person you know? That might be one of the reasons why she still looks so great. But all of that aside, I think that it's really sad that the post was started about this amazingly positive, wonderful thing that Bernadette is doing for NYC's animals, and someone had to focus on something completely different and superficial. Just my opinion...
