Hi-
Just wanted to share that, finally today, I might go out and frame my characature of Bernadette, in Gypsy. I just love it, autographed and all. Felt like sharing this, does anyone else have one? I got mine at the stage door in June, before B'Way Barks!
Have a great day!

ps-The very talented man who drew the picture is, Matt Logan....good for him!

There are 2 charactures. One was the one of Bernadette as Mamma Rose, the other was of Bernadette, Mary Tyler Moore, and 2 dogs across a sign that says Broadway Barks.
I have both of them (lol actually took me a while to get the Broadway Barks one because I didn't buy it right away), and I have them matted in red and placed in simple black frames. They look really nice on the wall above my radio.

I got the Rose's Turn one as well one night at the stage door. I think it was around BB time as well but I can't quite remember. I felt kind of bad because I started to talk to John Dossett while I was waiting for them to start selling and I think he wondered why I wasn't asking him for his autograph on my playbill like so many others were doing.

I got the Rose's Turn one...I bought fancy swirly metallic paper at the art store (it's got dark purple and dark pinks and maybe some silver and dark blue) and laid it out on that and then matted that in black so it's a double mat effect...and put it in a dark silver frame it looks really cute...puts a nice punch of color in too! haha I get a LITTLE too excited about framing things

I have the signed Rose's Turn, bought at Broadway Barks. I bought a 1"-wide black (cheap) frame the next day for it; simple, no matting, but works fine. It's in my office just above my computer.

My "pride and joy" is the Gypsy brochure cover that I had framed, also in my office.
Matted with red and white and gold metal frame (not cheap). Also had framed the black theater poster with a black metal frame; that one's hanging up at home. (these jobs are on plastic so, essentially, not yet paid for.)

I would really like to have all of my playbills framed (in simple black frames), but I wouldn't even know where to put all of them. I have wayyy too many to hang in just my room, so I may have to start by just framing my favorite ones.
I only have 2 posters from Broadway show (one from Gypsy and one fron Annie Get Your Gun), but neither one is framed or hanging up yet. lol

I have really big furniture, so wall space is pretty limited.

I hope to have my first-time-to-New York Playbills framed together (3 trips this past summer).

Then I have a stack from shows in Florida over about 30 years. I'm going to frame the ones in single frames that had major players (like James Earl Jones and Christopher Plummer in "Othello," Angela Lansbury in "Gypsy," Yul Brenner in "The King and I.") For in the guest bedroom, but gotta paint it first. The rest just store in a box I'm gonna make.
Jeeps. I better get on the stick...

Instead of framing all my playbills (zero wall space!), I bought one of those French bulletin boards that use ribbons to hold things onto the board instead of tacks. This way, I can display them without ruining them - and they look artistic since they overlap under the ribbons like a collage.
